We stayed here while attending a concert at Choctaw. When we arrived the front desk girl was the rudest hotel employee we have EVER encountered!!! This should have been our sign to turn around and find another place! We thought maybe she was just having a bad day so went to our room. The TV would not go to anything other than a screen saying no connection. Tried to call the front desk, and no cord for the phone! Our friends in another room, said they’d switch with us because they don’t really watch TV, and guess whaT…? Their TV had the same issue! The blinds were broken and the room needs to be updated and cleaned. I did let the new girl know when we were leaving how sweet she was, but how absolutely rude the other employee was the day before. She apologized and said she’d let her GM know. We will NEVER stay here again.

I would not choose to come to this hotel again, therefore two stars. We got stuck with a room with two queens and one of the beds is positioned right next to the window air conditioner. You can’t even walk between the bed and the window/window air conditioner! The air conditioner ran ALL night long and is very noisy, especially even the compressor kicks on. Breakfast is not available until 6:30, so it’s not very conducive to those of us wanting to get on the road again. The final straw as while watching the NCAA national championship last night (Go Jayhawks!!!), the TV service kept cutting out. This hotel is not ready for prime time,

Not what we were expecting

We’ve stayed in many other Holiday Inn Express locations that were better than this one. I’m pretty sure they made the bed and that was it for cleaning before we arrived. There was a lot of hair behind the bathroom door and in the shower and after we got up in the morning we discovered a Starburst wrapper in our bed. We didn’t even have Starbursts with us. Gross!

Great Place to Stay - Very Affordable Yet Upscale!

We drove up from TX to see friends who were performing at Gilley's at the Casino in Durant. After reading a number of reviews I chose this location for a 2 nite stay. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The location is excellent - easy 5 minute drive to the casino, several restaurants nearby, and Walmart in case you need them! Our friends stayed at the casino which was a lot more expensive. We saw their room at the casino which was very nice but my friends and I all felt that the room we had at the Holiday Inn was much nicer, roomier, and very convenient - and much cheaper. We were on the first floor about midway down the hall. Easy access through a back door to bring in our luggage. Also easy access to ice machine and coffee bar that was 24 hr. Breakfast in the morning was easy access too. Breakfast is included -this was a BREAKFAST not some cheap rolls. There were eggs, first day it was cheese omelette, second day it was scrambled. Meat - day 1 had link sausage and day 2 had sausage patty and bacon. There was also biscuits and gravy. There was a range of cereals, bread products, juices, milk, fruit,.... unfortunately the pancake maker was out of order but we had plenty of other choices. The people at front desk were accommodating. Only shortcoming was they have a pool and hot tub which I looked forward to the hot tub, but that area was locked. It was too chilly to swim so that was understandable but disappointing. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here.

I have come to expect less from Holiday Inn, and this hotel didn’t let me down. The room appeared to be clean upon entry, but I slowly started to notice just how dirty it really was. The wall next to the mirror has splattered/dried food particles (I hope it’s food, anyway), the bathroom floor nooks and crannies were super gross, and there’s a strange smear on the wall behind the door…what is that?! Anyway the front desk worker, however, was excellent. He was extremely friendly and helpful. He gets 5 stars - this hotel, not so much.
