Great accommodation
Stayed here for 1 night, great location right on the main road, room was perfect with a lovely comfortable bed. All the facilities you need are provided including shower gel, shampoo and tea/coffee are also provided. Would stay again if in the area.
A Great Time!!
Overnight stay in Barnard Castle, and so pleased we choose the Cricketer's Arms. The room was extremely clean, nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The bar is very friendly and welcoming, and there is a lovely beer garden to the rear. The hosts Amanda and Tom were fantastic and very welcoming, we had a great time and will definitely be back!!
A little gem
Came across this quaint pub yesterday after visiting Barnard castle, it’s very small and friendly the staff are very welcoming. There wasn’t a big choice of hot meals but that was ok, lasagne £9.99 chicken parmo from £9.99, they do a few light bites and sandwiches, steak and ale pie, Gish &chips, it’s reasonably priced for meals and drinks, bottles of wine £7 pints of beer £2.60. I got the Mexican Parmo with chips which was lovely, they forgot my husbands order of chips to go with the lasagne but we were in a hurry to leave so couldn’t wait any extra. the lasagne was a small portion which my husband was still hungry but had he got his chips it may of filled him.The pub is dog friendly and has a water bowl for them which you can sit anywhere in the pub with them. I would visit again.
Very happy
Great customer service and great food I will definitely recommend Close to Hamsterley forest and High Force with a secure locker room for our bikes, we even got offered a mountain bike guide who also works in the hotel, Thanks
Last minute night away!
Me and the hubby decided very last minute, to go to Barnard Castle for a change of scenery. Booked in with a very helpful young lady. The room was reached up a staircase from the bar. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm, as it was a very cold wet weekend! No food available as they are waiting on a new chef starting. The bathroom was perfect, clean and lovely fluffy towels. Although in a main road the room was quite quiet, but the advertising banner was very loose and banged against the wall all night . This was the only downside to a comfortable, well priced and welcoming establishment.
