Very upset
Not a good place, the people are liers and make you spend all your money and when your money is all gone they say they aint a charity case for someone like me with mental health issues they dont care but say they do to make themselves look better. They dont care and the service is great if your paying but in general worst people iv met up here so far, decredit people like me say they will help and dont
Does what it says on the tin
Stayed at the Manor House Hotel on Saturday 22nd August. Very efficient and clear directions to ensure COVID safety. Rooms are adequate with clean bedding. Kirsty and team gave a very warm welcome. The food looked good but due to time restraints did not get to sample it. Also live music was great
Night out
My 1st night out since lockdown I felt apprehensive. However Gavin who runs the manor house made me feel very welcome and at ease. They have a spacious garden so you can social distance no problem. I would definitely recommend a visit

Valentine's Visit
Valentines Day 2020 was our first visit to The Manor House Hotel at Ferryhill. We were attracted by their Valentines Day special menu in the restaurant and decided to extend our stay overnight. And, bearing in mind this is a budget price hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. The meal was excellent - very tasty, well presented and fabulous value for money. The staff were really nice, friendly and attentive. Some romantic music playing softly in the background would have added to the atmosphere but otherwise, no complaints in this department. Our room (Room 1) was okay. Adequately sized and furnished, it was certainly clean and the bed comfortable, giving a good night's sleep. Everything seemed in working order, except the toilet seat was ill-fitting and loose - reported to management. The room overlooks the garden, so a pleasant outlook. Most Haunted? There were some spooky sounds (creaks and knocking) following midnight, and also an unexplained light near the ceiling, all of which was silent when I woke at around 5 am. Ghostly goings on or just the noises a 400+ year old property makes? I don't know but it was entertaining without being too scary. Breakfast (cooked full English) was again tasty and it was good to have a conversation with the chef. Had a walk round Ferryhill, which is an attractive town although has clearly seen better days. Well located for visiting other parts of County Durham though. Summary: A quaint, historical property, now a small hotel and bar/restaurant with a nice beer garden. Budget priced and you get what you pay for but good value. I would consider going again.
