Very clean. Friendly service.
We arrived well before check-in time. The receptionist was very friendly and allowed us to check in early. The lobby and rooms were very clean. We went to the pool. This area was clean. There is not hot tub. The hotel sits in an odd location next to a Bass Pro Shop, Our room was very quiet. Breakfast was gran and go. Yogurt, water, coffee, Jimmy Dean sandwiches, and muffins.
Very Clean and Great Staff
This was the first time I have stayed at a hotel since the start of the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, I was a frequent traveler for work and leisure so I actually was looking forward to the hotel stay, The hotel is conveniently located near the downtown area, casino, and restaurants. It is right at the waterfront which could be really nice in the warm weather. I was greeted warmly by the hotel receptionist. She was very professional and informative. The lobby area and all public areas were extremely clean. Upon entering my room I was very impressed. Everything was sparkling clean and I did not any anxiety whatsoever about staying there. The housekeeper was in the hall when I arrived and also spoke. I left the room to retrieve more items from my vehicle. The housekeeper came to me asked me if the room met my specifications and if she could be of further service. Impressive indeed. I let her know everything was great and I appreciated her inquiring, Upon checkout, continental breakfast is available at the reception desk to go. There were selections of muffins, granola bars, fresh fruit, yogurt and coffee. You could have one or all. My only complaint has to do with some of the visitors. On two occasions, I saw people without masks, although it is clearly posted on the entrance door and the elevator area that masks are mandatory in the hotel, People were sitting in the lobby on one evening-none with masks-socializing. On the day of checkout, a guy was on the elevator without a mask and upon exiting the elevator promenaded around the lobby without a mask. I think this was very disrespectful of the other hotel guests who were abiding by the rules. I could only imagine that the young hotel staff would have a difficult time monitoring and enforcing the wearing of masks. As a practice, people who break rules are often defiant and the receptionist is not equipped to battle with that. How did I handle it, I made sure I had on my mask and provided protection for myself.
Our Favorite Hotel
When we need to stay overnight in this area this is our favorite hotel. Walking in we are always greeting with sincere kindness and friendliness by the hotel staff which continues throughout our visit. The hotel, rooms, and surrounding outdoor areas are immaculate. We appreciate having this hotel to relax in and be refreshed!
Excellent stay
I have always been impressed with this brand and this location continues that opinion. When making the reservation I was asked why I was in Peoria and told her it was for my high school child to visit Bradley. When checking in, the woman was polite and spoke positive of Bradley and hoped we had a good time. All staff was pleasant and polite. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Beds were good. Bathroom was larger than expected and in spectacular condition. Not many other people were staying on a Friday night, which made it seem quiet. We did not use the pool or exercise room. There was some hot breakfast served by staff. Breakfast was simple, but it was fine. Shopping and some restaurants are a very short drive. If this is your first time to Peoria and this hotel, getting to it is a bit of a trick. From the west, you cross the Illinois River bridge and exit I-74. You then circle around some stores and restaurants, go back under the bridge and arrive. The hotel is beside a Bass Pro. If my child attends Bradley, I'm 102 percent sure we will stay here on visit weekends. Great stay!
clean rooms
I have stayed at this hotel twice and would stay again. Clean rooms, soft beds, and friendly staff. 4 stars for the location (off the main road), everyone not wearing masks, lack of warm breakfast, and for the upstairs noise.
