Great newer hotel

Great hotel. Clean, easy to get to right off the Interstate. Front desk was friendly and professional. Would stay again when traveling thru Peoria. Breakfast and pool looked nice but didn’t get a chance to try either as we were just passing thru
Great experience thanks to Brian

We booked a room for 2 adults, 2 children through a third party app. We checked in, got up to the room, and realized the room was 1 king bed with no couch. Brian was super helpful and offered to check on a roll-away bed. He went above and beyond by contacting us later that night to offer a double room that became available. His attention to detail and follow through are beyond what I expected and experience at other hotels. We will definitely pick this hotel when in the area again.
Great place, great restaurant, friendly staff

Weary travelers— Our family put in a hard day’s drive and chose this hotel based on reviews. What a great find! I write after a great dinner at the hotel restaurant, Johnny’s Steakhouse, a couple glasses of red wine and a nice soak in the hot tub. Thanks to Cassandra the bartender and Josh the front-desk attendant, for making my family feel welcome and comfortable. Beautiful, clean, friendly hotel in nice area. I couldn’t ask for better!
Expected better from a Holiday Inn - disappointing stay

I saw a good rating and decided to go with this Holiday Inn rather than the one closer to my mother in law’s house in Morton. In retrospect, I should have been more careful about researching ahead of time, because most of these good reviews must have been pre-Covid.
When we arrived, they gave us a room, I walked in and immediately saw trash and crumbs on the floor. My son saw spilled Cheerios all near the window. We went down to the desk to complain and they gave us the room across the hall, but that room had a bathroom that hadn’t been cleaned. Hair all over the shower and poop smeared toilet seat!!! They said they could give us 2 king rooms but they’d have to split us up - and what about our two small children??? They said they’d no other option but to clean it for us while we went for dinner. When we got back it still had crumbs on the floor but at least the bathroom was better.
We decided to visit the pool. This was the grossest, most unsafe pool I’ve been to at a hotel. First of all, the jacuzzi was closed off with caution tape but there was a junior high baseball team there and they were still playing in it! They were also rough housing in the pool, jumping on other children trying to swim, throwing a baseball across the pool and smacking it into the water at other kids. There was one adult but he was drinking and joining in on the water fights and diving in, too. This is a pretty small pool but there were at least 25 kids, most likely between ages 11-14. So much screaming! I put my foot in the water and it was SLIMY. With Covid, you’d think they’d enforce the rules but the staff did nothing, not even after we complained. I didn’t feel comfortable or safe letting my 6 and 8 year olds swim there.
The other stuff is run of the mill mediocrity - empty drinking glasses on the patio for two days, trash all over the parking lot, even broken glass near the entrance. The breakfast was on the lower end of average. Two drinks (1 beer, 1 cosmopolitan) cost $22. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but friendly enough.
The room itself was okay (other than the initial uncleanliness), water pressure decent. Since they don’t offer daily maid service, I’d have liked towel bars to hang towels on since you don’t get fresh each day, but we had to hang them in the closet.
All in all, I’d never stay here again. There was 3 other Holiday Inns around Peoria; choose another location and you’ll be better off. Management should either hire more people or pay more attention to their business.

Super clean, great, rooms, and gym is AWESOME! I tend to stay at Holiday Inns and this place was great. The gym was VERY well stocked with lots of machines and weights. I chose this Holiday Inn because of the gym. The restaurant was very nice and an unexpected treat as it was more high-end as I would expect. Nicely done!
