Utter peace and quiet

Reviewed 14 november, 2021

We were very happy with our stay here. The accommodation was comfortable, especially the beds. Ecurie is a small village with not much going on but this means it is blissfully quiet. The centre of Arras is only 10 mins drive away for all that a city offers but it was nice to return and relax in our lovely room. Breakfast was good with homemade jams, croissants, breads, cheeses and delicious organic eggs. It was served in the main house which was lovely as you could chat with the hosts and this gives a much better “French experience” than staying in an impersonal hotel……if you’re lucky you might even get to meet the owners friendly cats. We wish the owners every success as they work hard to make your stay special……we would stay here again.

A Delightful Experience

Reviewed 23 september, 2019

We stayed for 4 nights as a base to explore the sites, museums and cemeteries of World War I. The location was ideal with easy access to key road networks. Our host, Virginie, was charming and made us feel most welcome. Breakfast was good especially the different types of bread that were delivered fresh every morning; breakfast was taken in the main house in a beautiful dining room. Our room - in the barn conversion - was clean and comfortable.

A little jewel just outside Arras . . .

Reviewed 29 july, 2019

We stayed at this B&B for 6 nights in late June/early July 2019. By any measure, this place is simply a wonderful place to stay. If we could give it 6 stars out of 5, we would gladly do so! The owner, Virginie, is the most welcoming host you can imagine. She does all she can to make guests feel comfortable during their stay, is available and is willing to provide valuable advice about places to see and restaurants to dine in. Last, but not least, Virginie makes wonderful and delicious breakfasts! She includes many local products in the foods she serves at breakfast, and makes considerable effort to find foods that she thinks guests will appreciate and enjoy. It's a small B&B with only three rooms, situated just outside Arras (about 10 minutes drive). We stayed in La Suite, which is a very comfortable and well-appointed room. Being in a village, it was very quiet and peaceful. It is also well-situated for visiting the region, including the World War I sites we were interested in visiting. In terms of value for money, this B&B would be very hard to beat. Visitors to the Arras area would be well-advised to seek to stay here during their stay: you won't regret it!

Excellent overnight or longer

Reviewed 7 may, 2019

This is the second time we have stayed at Ecurie. A really convenient stop for us when travelling towards Calais as an overnight before the ferry/tunnel. The rooms are really tastefully decorated and clinically clean. The breakfast is first class and the parking is totally secure. We will return with absolute confidence.

Stopped off here for one night whilst driving through France. Beautiful house, excellent room, lovely host, great location to explore the battlefields and memorials. Fabulous breakfast. Highly recommended.
