The information provided in the website and by Priceline is incorrect
Priceline indicated the hotel had airport transfer available. When we called to make arrangements we were told the hotel has never (in 16 years) provided a transfer. The hotel website says they have a mini spa. When we asked for information about the spa we were told they have "one bedroom" for additional cost which had a hot tub but we could not see it because it was being used. The truth is there is no spa. The "continental buffet" is poor. Every day the same food. The worse part of the part of the stay was the fact the owners manage the hotel and they are not friendly, borderline rude. The rest of the staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful.
Lack of Flexibility
Kelta is 15 minute away from downtown (by foot), including a 5 minute walk in a upstream street to reach it in the upper side of the city. It’s not a big issue, but people who has walking constrains shall use a car to get there, or prefer a closer option. Room is ok, clean sheets but it does not have a frigobar/minibar if you wanna keep your sandwiches fresh for the tours you may want to do around the city. That tours usually does not include lunch, and the food in those tourist places use to be expensive… so people normally take their own snacks. Anyway, the hotel can provide you some snack, if you order it until the previous night. Bathroom has clean towels (changed everyday) and a good shower. Wifi is ok and the lady in the front desk was very kind when offered electric adapters that could match their outlets with our phones chargers. But despite the strongs and weaks, what we still remember is that we took a champagne to the hotel to celebrate the New Year and had to use the glasses from the bathroom… That night, there were some people drinking and having a cheerful conversation, including the hotel owner. We asked him to borrow us 6 glasses for a toast with the family and he simply said that the kitchen was closed. Very ungraceful!!
Nice & Comfortable Stay
We travelled with two young kids and stayed in Kelta for 4 days (3 nights) in last week of December 2015. We found the stay nice and comfortable with staff very friendly. In particular, Carla was very helpful as she was able to accommodate for our special meal requests. Breakfast was nice and with couple of good lunch box options, we were able to pack lunch for our day trips. Hotel is just a 20 minutes walk from main street so was very accessible except for some part of the walk being uphill. Room was comfortable and the view outside was spectacular
Friendly staff, but the rooms are falling apart..
The hotel lobby looks nice, the outside from a distance as well, but the rooms are disintegrating. Heaters are not functioning any more, water is leaking, electricity is dangerous, blankets filthy etc. This is a pity, because the staff is really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good! If they invest in the rooms it would be a great hotel!
Lovely lovely hotel
I stayed in this lovely hotel in March, the room where I stayed was vintage and cute. The owners of the hotel are absolutely adorable and friendly and the food is very good! . I hope to go there again one day. Send a lots of regards Monica (la italiana :) )
