Patagonia Rebelde is a hidden gem. It's as if you walk in a movie scene from the dusty and busy streets. The rooms are spacious, clean and so beautifully furnished. The main area is really cosy and looks like a saloon. Breakfast was good with fresh and local products. More extensive choice than Argentinian standards. They offer airport shuttle service if you book in advance. It's a 30 minute drive. 5 minute walk from the bus station. The walk was a little dark at night.

Noisy and small historical place to stay

This was very near the bottom of our favourite hotels on our tour. The rooms are very small and everything (doors, floorboards, keys, beds) creaks. Downstairs is interesting and you are left feeling a bit disappointed that the bedrooms are not what they should be. Try and avoid the roadside rooms as they are even noisier.

A little too "rustic."

This was my least favorite place that we stayed on our tour. The rooms were very small and felt like they needed some TLC. There is no TV. The old fashioned keys were difficult to use and had to be left at the front desk, which closes at midnight. The entire first floor is a sitting area and bar, but it looks like no one ever uses it. It is a 10-15 minute walk into town, so that was disappointing. The staff was great - friendly and accommodating. Overall, I would look for different accommodation in El Calafate.

Lovely Quaint and Quiet Hotel

Wonderful place to stay in Calafate just up the hill from town (10 minutes max walking). Rooms are comfy as well as cozy and the staff goes out other way to accommodate you. Stayed here several times while traveling in and out of Argentina to Chile and Peru and it felt like home each time we returned.

A fun place

Only stayed overnight, but really liked this quirky railway themed hotel. We had the best room in the hotel, 1st floor end of the corridor. Large and comfy. Bar was good and served good measures, Breakfast was decent, with a wide enough selection. A short walk out of town, but worth staying at. Nice staff.
