My stay
Excellent staff and service friendly cleanliness was great it's quiet and I love the secure building . It's cheap weekly rates allows pets and children I love this place and would highly recommend it to anyone
Worst hotel ever visited
we weren't allowed to check in on time. Denied restroom while waiting. 2 towels total for a family of 4 for 3days. Room was dirty and smelled like smoke. H orrible experience! And the elevators where not working
TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FILTHY ROOMS
I booked my stay though the phone with them but never received a confirmation email stating that I did. I called to double check that I was booked and he notified me that I was in a one bed smoking room for two guest I asked if there was any nonsmoking rooms available. He told me there was only a two bed nonsmoking room available but that it was going to be the same rate and everything as the snoking room. We changed my reservation for a 2 quest 2 bedroom stay for the same rate as the one bedroom. He confirmed with me the changes and we hung up. I got the to hotel tired and ready for bed when I got to my room I got myself ready for bed and before laying on the bed I checked it. Thank God I did the pillows and sheets were full of saliva and hair along we the bed spread being filled with inappropriate stains. Tired and disappointed I look for the number to call the front desk. They were closed and no assistance was given. Instead of complaining I just decided to leave the next day eventhough I was highly disgusted and disappointed with my stay I didn't want to be that customer so I just checked out and left. Come to find out on my bank statement I was charged for more than one night and at a higher rate than I was told. I call. There was no answer after multiple times of trying to contact them a girl finally answered the phone already with a rude tone which didn't phase me at first because we all have those days. I explain to her how I was over charged and so on she tells me she can't help me with the situation so I ask if there's a number I could call she gives me a number I call turns out she gave me a number to a hotel reservation place assuming I made my reservation through them eventhough I had already told her I had made the reservation with them through the phone. I call after multiple times of no answer she answered the phone even more rude than she was before. I asked if I could speak to a manager that way the manager can assist me. She tells me the manager is not available I ask her when the manager would be available and she told me the next day. I told her thank you and asked for her name then we end the call. The next day I go in to speak to the manager to explain my situation including how the rooms were not cleaned during my stay. I was waiting at the front desk for more than 10mins. Before getting assistance which you could hear all of the employees talking in the back room. Turns out the girl who came to my assistance unprofessionally was the manager. I explain to her everything (meanwhile she kept interrupting I had to ask her if I could explain to her without her interruptions) she tells me she can't help me with anything that it's my problem maybe my bank can help me is what she told me. I told her about her employee as well turns out her employee gave me a fake name. I ask the manager if she could at least give me half a refund for the dirty room and over charge she told me no because I "bashed" in front of customers. Which I truly believe I handled the situation professionally as I can. The customer was just listening and told us she was cancelling her reservation that she does not wanna stay after she listened to my experience. Before leaving without anything being resolved I asked the manager if there's a number I could call to get assistance which she did give me and now I'm currently waiting for a response they were unavailable as well. As one who travels this is one of the most disappointing stays I have ever experienced the room was filthy, they gave terrible service, they were untruthful, they doubled charged, smells like cigarettes throughout the entire building and they don't at all make you feel welcomed. Only good thing is their location excellent restaurant choices surrounding the hotel.
Cheap but would not stay here again
Stayed here primarily because I wanted a fridge/kitchen. The fridge worked fine but the kitchen was completely worthless because there are NO utensils or cutlery. Not a single spoon, cup, plate, anything just empty cabinets. Upon arrival I noticed from the layout and design it was "Value Place" who researching afterwards apparently changed their name to Woodspring now. These are weekly dumps for people to live in permanently which is I suppose why there is no cutlery. The rooms have paper thin walls and ceilings and every time the person over me moved it sounded like a herd of bison (and they were awake 24 hours a day stomping around). Cigarette smoke smell comes in through the air conditioner and bathroom vents constantly. The back of the parking lot is absolutely filled with feral cats who will be under/on your car because someone keeps feeding them. The pillows on the bed were notebook paper thickness. Wifi was nonexistent there is barely a signal inside the room I couldn't even check email on it..imagine dial up internet but even slower to the point where the browser timeouts trying to load any page. I could pick up wifi from other hotels nearby and peoples houses with much better signal then Woodspring. One positive thing is there is a Rudy's just a couple hundred feet away for food. Even though I was only in El Paso for a day I regret staying here and would not do it again.
Not as bad as other reviewers made it out to be!
I actually chose a different hotel in El Paso based off of other reviews. We had to extend our stay and wanted a kitchen so I reread the reviews and had driven by ultimately deciding to give it a try. While there was a smell in the lobby area it wasn’t that bad. I did have to call the desk clerk but a sign clearly states how to do so and honestly not that big of a deal. The halls looked clean and our room was extremely clean and had no smell at all. It looked exactly like the picture online. I’m not sure what the deal was with the other reviewers but I didn’t or haven’t found any of those issues (I will update if needed and will be here the next 8 nights) Our family is typically picky about the hotels we stay in and this was one of the better ones I’ve stayed at in El Paso.
