Half finished remodel
I stayed in one room, my boyfriend was in the room next door. The contractor should be fired. Windows unfinished, broken TV and phone had to be fixed. Noisy. Staff harassed me about check out. 229 and 227
Very nice
Stopped for the evening on our way to Montana. Checked in only to find the heater didn’t work. I spoke to the manager and he moved us immediately. Couldn’t have been more happy with him. At checkout, the front desk was very courteous and accommodating. Will stay again if we are in the area.
Very Disappointing
We reserved two rooms for one night to meet family half way. NONE of the staff wore masks, including desk, registration, housekeeping. We picked up food from a restaurant nearby (to stay safe related to COVID). When I asked the young man at the desk if it would be alright if we ate our food at a table in the common breakfast area he said "you can do whatever you want" It did not seem to me that there was any concern for health mandated rules. Our room had a strong small of mold/mildew, so strong that we had to keep our door open and the bathroom fan on. Although the room was filled with signs that stated the COVID cleaning guidelines I did not see the CDC guidelines being followed. I was so very disappointed as we usually stay at Hampton's because we have NEVER had a bad experience until this time. We will not stay here ever again. The Lady at the registration was so very nice (but still never had a mask on although state mandated) Just a very disappointing stay.
tell jocelyn to stop over sharing her life with the guests please.
Had an okay stay here over the weekend. Room was fine, great breakfast, no complaints there. Kinda disappointed about the pool being out of service, especially after being told it’s been out for two months now but whatever. Check in was interesting. Joslyn came off as a fun person, which allowed me to engage in conversation with her a little easier. We got to talking and she soon began to gossip about her personal life, parties, people she’s supposedly hooked up with off and on the clock (yuck!) and some of the other staff members here, making several of them sound like bad people because they don’t cover her shifts so she can go party with another coworker and her friends. I found this pretty inappropriate, childish and petty. She was also saying she was upset about Greg, the assistant manager (i think), being fired recently. Especially since she said she has allegedly had several issues with the current manager (andy or something with an A? idk). The stories she was telling me about him sounded exaggerated, and just really bad especially since she’s stayed working somewhere where she supposedly feels “so uncomfortable” when he’s around. I didn’t feel this was any of my business to know what she’s been accusing him of, or her whole life story for that matter, but here I am with too much information and a really bad taste in my mouth. please sit this chick down and tell her to control her mouth. because yikes.
Updated hotel
I think a lot of the negative reviews on here are prior to a remodel the hotel did. Our room was clean and the hotel looked new. Just an FYI, the pool is closed indefinitely while they clean and paint. My only complaint was the noise coming from cars all night long. I am not a light sleeper and I could hear the cars. We would stay here again if we needed to be in the area.
