Comfortable hotel in like new condition

Stayed here for a quick overnight on the road. The hotel is convenient to the highway and has a selection of restaurants in walking distance. The hotel seemed to be almost new. Everything in the room worked as desired. The room was very quiet as it faced away from the highway. Would certainly stay here again.

We stayed 3 days and everything was wonderful and our room was clean. We had the delightful opportunity to meet Candace at the front desk. She was so warm, welcoming and helpful. THANK YOU CANDACE! She shared all the local restaurant options. Her suggestions were excellent. She also gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a very nice stay. You must try the Boombozz pizza restaurant across the street. It was excellent. This hotel had many dining options within walking distance. We didn’t take advantage of the free breakfast so I can’t review that. There was a Starbucks just down the road and we just had to indulge as we were on vacation. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and I hope you all have the opportunity to meet Candace.
It was clean, but… lacking

Pros: 1. Clean (always my #1 priority) 2. Dark room 3. Comfortable beds 4. Enough luggage room (we had a 2 queen plus pullout) 5. Great outdoor space and patio Cons: 1. The room smelled of perfume upon arrival. Requested a room change but apparently they were overbooked so we had to deal with it. After a night the smell went away. 2. The AC unit was loud and not in a constant humming way but rather an irregular grinding noise that rattled all night and day. And it took way too long to cool down the room. 3. Swimming pool was way too small. Mac capacity was 11 people. But safely you could probably fit 6 people in the water at once. 4. Not the quietest place, could hear lots of loud people after 10:30 while trying to sleep. Annoyances: 1. Would not allow early check-in 2. Room keys stopped working twice which required trips to the front desk and waits in line. 3. Not enough towels provided in the room and when requested more was made to come back to front desk 4. Pool towels were tiny and under tight control by the front desk at one per person. 5. Pool required reservation (which is not the problem) but the issue is we were never informed upon check in and as a result kids weren’t allowed to swim our first night. The only reason I went with a 3 rating is because it was clean. They have potential but need to address the issues listed above, not worth the moola payed to stay here.
Vile, Disgusting and Rude....if you go there, it's your own fault what happens

I have never, ever been in a room, multiple rooms, that are so dirty, vile, and disgusting and been told it is "dust". If dust looks like pubic hairs, blood, pee stains, and bed beg turds, then sure. I called the manager after I found what looked like blood on the comforter following our first of 5 nights. The bathroom floors were also dirty and there was some stain on the wall (pictures below) I had about 20 minutes to get the baseball fields for tournament and they offered to walk me to another room or two to check if it met my " cleanliness standards." The rooms they offered to change to were 105, 107 and 103. We were in 201. Each of the rooms had large stains and pubic hairs. Vanessa K, the GM, wouldnt even come in the room bc I am guessing she knew they were all disgusting. When I took pictures and call her in, she said, what does it matter, its on the mattress cover and you dont sleep on that. And....it is just dust. I moved the public hair with my pinkly finger....that wasnt dust. And no....I dont want to sleep on a mattress cover underneath me that is pee stains, pubes and bed bug turds and potentially blood. Sorry. Not to even mention in 201 the stains on the floor and wall. And the picture below is about 5-10 minutes after I showered and walking on carpet. Disgusting. Vanessa the rudest GM ever, said they meet IGH cleanliness standards so it is my issue. After showing me the 3rd disgusting room, she said....since we cant meet your cleanliness standards we are going to have to ask you to leave. So instead of cleaning our room with new linens and the room itself over the next 5 hours while we would have been gone, she kicked me and my 12 year old out of the room. She didnt offer to find a diff hotel, same chain or not. Just, we are going to ask you to leave now. So we had no where to stay for the next 4 nights since Etown is booked for baseball. However, there are always cancellations or something a GM can do. Instead, her answer to my "standards" (see pictures) was to kick out my son and I. You couldnt pay me to sleep in that dumpster fire of a hotel. You want to come home with bed bugs or whatever? Go for it. I will also be calling the dept of health as well as corporate executive relations about Vanessa's attitude and how she runs a hotel. The "we tried to find you a clean room" garbage is there excuse. Problem is...there probably isnt any clean rooms. I talked to other families. They also pulled back but they lived with it bc there were no other rooms. We ended up trying to the Omni in Louisville about 45 minutes away. Not so convenience but CLEAN and hospitable. Oh one more thing. When I sent the pictures they said one of the pictures wasn't of their hotel. HAAA! Yeah ok. I took pictures from a diff hotel and used that as my evidence. Fools. Each picture taken is geo and time stamped when you take from an iPhone. Every single picture is from that hotel. I don't have to fake anything. Liars on top of it.

From the initial check in with Candace until we checked out 3 days later the experience was perfect. As we were checking in the main housekeeper Gretchen met us on our floor and welcomed us and said if we need anything just ask. This added to the great stay. The rooms must be very insulated because we did not hear anyone our entire stay.
