The staff make you feel like you are home the rooms above the reception are airy clean . Whilst the menu is small menu each course is yummy abd excellent . Easy parking excellent links into london . Joanna on reception and all the other staff bend over backwards to help . can’t wait to return

Misleading descriptions and average furnishings

This room (described as the Kensington Suite) was sold to my wife as she booked a 60th birthday treat for myself 40 years after staying here on our wedding night. Having spent three hours outside in November at an external event the desire was to slump in to a warm room , take a hot bath and relax in the superior surroundings promised by this establishment. On climbing the stairs and entering the room the extremely cold atmosphere of the room where the radiators were not working and no heating had been left on literally took our breath away. Clearly the hotel knew of the issue as a small blow heater had been left in the room. We were extremely cold and so turned to the bath as a way of warming up. There was no hot water. The receptionist although very apologetic came up to the room and attempted to run a hot bath but nothing. The bed was the smallest double bed ever made and the room some 140 sq foot and not the 250+ square footage promised in the hotel blurb. This truly was a delivery of ‘goods’ that did not meet any expectations as per the description of those promised and truly spoilt a weekend that we had driven 150 miles to be part of. We await to hear if a full refund has been made as we left thoroughly disheartened and with the thought that we were not the first to be offered this room and turn it down , sadly with nothing else available probably because the aftermath of a wedding was in full swing and we checked in early evening. In the real sense of the shopper’s mantra ‘buyer beware’ but shame on you The Manor Elstree for putting us in this position in the first place as you clearly knew the room’s failings and forget to mention it to us.

Great Hotel

I was ‘bumped’ here from another hotel that overbooked themselves; I believe that I was lucky as The Manor was excellent. All the staff were excellent; especially the receptionists; the food was of a very high quality and the service was spot on. I enjoyed my two nights here; the rooms were functional and warm; and the fitness room was a real bonus.

We stayed with 4 other family members for my 60th birthday on Friday FAO - General Manager Hi We stayed with 4 other family members for my 60th birthday on Friday 12th November. The staff were wonderful helpful and friendly, the room was wonderful but I would like to particularly commend Jo Brown , reception manager, who arranged everything and made a simple overnight stay into something really special. We have stayed many times over the years, and I have a bit of a history with The Manor, but this stay really stand out. Sent from my iPad

Hotel and rooms were more than adequate. Receptionist staff friendly. Guy at door for breakfast very miserable and looked as if he did not want to be there. He spoilt the whole experience. Hopefully he will be trained before my next visit or it will be my last visit.
