Good Base of Operations for Skiing in Engelberg
My son and I stayed six nights to go skiing. The hotel is a five minute walk from the Titlis gondola and ten minutes from the heart of Engelberg (Dorfstrasse). There is a ski room to store skis and put the boots on a heated dryer overnight. Solid Swiss breakfast, firm beds, and a quiet ambiance. We had a very fun and relaxing stay.
Pleasant Stay
Comfortable Stay. Hotel just opposite to Engelberg station. Hotel is also close to reach Mount Titlis. It is quite and peaceful town. Rooms were okay. All Rooms are with balcony. We stayed in the rooms facing beautiful mountains. Buffet Breakfast was good. Staff was supportive and they could speak English.
Wow!
What a surprise! I stayed at this hotel several years ago when it was under different ownership. At that time I was not impressed, so when my travel company booked me at this hotel, I recognized the address and, with trepidation, I accepted the booking. From the moment I arrived, I could tell that something had changed besides the hotel name. The gentleman at the front desk practically bent over backwards to be of assistance. Even though the hotel is located near the train station, the hotel was exceptionally quiet at night. Plus, the hotel is not located so close to the church as to have the church bells ring during the night and wake visitors up. Another wonderful surprise was the breakfast. Again, the staff tried in every possible way to please and although the breakfast buffet was very substantial, the chef made us delicious omelets! I couldn’t be happier. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I pass through Engelberg.
Good location, walking distance to Titlis lift
Basic but clean rooms. Parking available. We were there one of the last weeks of the ski season and it was quite empty, however, the service was good and the breakfast was decent. The location is great with walking distance to Titlis and downtown.
Very nice hotel
It has been a real pleasure to stay in this hotel for a brief vacation, long weekend! The staff of the hotel is very supportive, assists with all kind of information you like to obtain. English spoken.
