My daughter and I stayed there several days when in town for my Dad's funeral. My brother wanted to drop off flowers for my room but Tammy did not want him to leave flowers and argued with him. She only cooked breakfast the last day which was great but the rest of the time we had packets of oatmeal, cookies and bananas that had sat out all week. No soap for bathtub, no working batteries for TV remote. When we complained about the cold she gave us an extra blanket and would not run the heater. It was snowing outside. We had to ask for toilet paper and got some from family members to tied us over. She smiled the complete time as she put us in our place. She left us one black washcloth with instructions to use it to remove our makeup. We did not use the designated black washcloth. Owners do not stay on property so if you need anything, it will have to wait. The neighborhood was not great. We would not stay there again. We did not feel welcome. Another review said "she was almost hostile" and we agree.

My friend and I stayed in the lovely Hope suite.

Beautiful decor, comfy bed, great shower. Breakfast was wonderful and filling. It was uncomfortably warm in the room. A/C. Definitely needed to be set for a lower temp. Never covered up all night. Never cooled off. There was no drinking water except for the sink, but no drinking glass. Would have been great to have some ice water or bottled water available. Have stayed at many B and B's and have always had iced water, tea, leomade and coffee prominently displayed downstairs for the guests. That would have been very welcome. We were considering having a nurses 50th year class reunion here, but were told we could only use the parlor , not the dining room and could have no food or drink in the parlor . I do not think there is a bathroom on the main floor either, so I think this would probably not be convenient for women in our 70's. Was a little shocked to read the reviews that baby and bridal showers were hosted here. All in all, except for the heat and no water, the B and B was lovely, the decor and gift shop were lovely.

Lovely place for a quiet get-a-away

Reviewed 21 march, 2017

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to have some time together. We booked the Southard House B&B just a few days before our stay, based on the pictures on their website and a few reviews we read. We stayed in the Suite Hope. It was a quaint little suite with a beautiful bay window. The house itself was built in 1912 but has been remarkably restored. The room was very comfortable and nice. The bed was wonderful and the bathroom was roomy with a nice sized shower. They provided robes which was a nice touch. The breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was delicious and we LOVED the fact that it came to our room and we were able to dine privately. That made our weekend even more romantic. Tammy and James were gracious hosts attentive to every need. We found out the third floor has a suite with several private rooms so we will try to book that one next time but will plan several months in advance. The antique malls close by, are a nice activity for Saturday afternoons and we picked up a few mementos from Tammy's boutique. Overall a spectacular getaway and will definitely be back. Things to note- breakfast during the week is continental, stairs go to all rooms, not all suites have separate rooms, and rooms fill up quickly so plan accordingly.

Warm & Charming B & B

I just returned from my stay here and this is actually my 2nd stay and I plan to return again on my next trip though Enid. The Neal's are perfect hosts and Tammy leaves such wonderful surprises for your breakfast. The house is beautifully restored and impeccably well maintained and clean. Such a treat from staying always in hotels. Can't wait for January when I return and stay again.

Very nice B and B

We stayed for one night while my husband was in Enid on business. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. They were nice enough to give us an extended check-out the next day for a nominal fee. It was worth it to me because my husband had afternoon meetings and I wanted to enjoy the room a little longer! I do wish they served a hot breakfast during the week, but otherwise I would stay there again.
