Great overnight stay, great value
Road hotel in Eresing, which is great for an overnight stay. Small rooms, but ok if you are here only for the night. Bed is comfortable, bathroom is fundtional. Night rate was very reasonable, and the staff nice and helpful. The restaurant was close due to remodeling, but there's another restaurant next to the church, 5 minutes walk.
Terrible stay (noisy and bad service)
I normally stay in hotels >30 days a year and am normally happy. This stay though was horrible, I stayed ina a room with a noise that was horrible...impossible to sleep and no reception to call and change the room. The day after the owner told me she does not believe what I was telling her and that I must be imagining things. Even if this is not a normal thing, I would have somebody check the noise and more importantly be more customer friendly and manage the feedback better. Fact is I did not sleep the whole night and had a semi well sailing exam next day.... An absolute no-go
Clean rooms, tasty food, great service
Thrilled about this place. Super friendly staff (family members own and run the place). Clean rooms. Great seats outside our rooms which was great with a bottle of wine. Great restaurant with generous portions. All around thrilled we ended up here.
Great rooms and resturaunt
The rooms are very cozy, with a great family feel to them. The resturaunt served us with delicious bravia food and beer. Great place to stop by on the romantic road to either rothenburg or to fussen. The restaurant itself can get pretty packed in the evening, so do come down early or else you might have to wait a bit.
Perfect Bayern Style!
The Wiedmann Hotel & Gasthaus is just perfect if you want to stay at a hotel with typical Bayern-style. The waiters are dressed in Lederhosen and Dirndl's. They are extremely friendly and always ready to help. The food in the restaurant is perfect and cheap and you don't have to wait more than 10-15 mins. The rooms are extremely clean, big and has all the possible needs such as hairdryer and television. WiFi works out fine as well!
