Really nice Riad on the main road in the medina of Essaouira. Best location. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Riad inside is beautiful. Breakfast on the rooftop is very good. Again friendly staff. It has everything a 3 star needs. I see people complaining about the windows that just open to the inside of the building. This is a riad so most windows just open to the inside. Just a few rooms have windows to the street. If this is important to you ask for it at the booking. Also the breakfast is perfectly fine.. If you want a big buffet with eggs and fruit this would be a 5 star. Same with bathrooms. You can't rate a 3 star as a 5 star.. or you pay a 5 star. Prices here are very good and we had everything we needed. I come back next time.

A very bad experience

Reviewed 1 january, 2020

No wifi, no intercom, no water, average bathroom and old looking towels. Avoid this hotel unless you are stuck with it. We are regretting being here right now and wondering how it get 4 stars ratings on trip advisor. Very misleading pictures on the website.

Extremly Noisy

Reviewed 29 september, 2019

We had a seven night stay in September. Do not make the mistake of taking an upgrade to a room on the front of the Riad EXTREMLY NOISY FROM STREET NOISE .Nice Riad with friendly staff. Moroccan-style breakfast on the roof top with great view of the Medina. Would not stay again. Would find a riad off the street.

Beautiful Riad in Arab and Andalusian style

Reviewed 17 july, 2019

Beautiful Riad in Arab and Andalusian style. Every room is well equipped. For Morocco and a Riad it's luxurious: every room has an own bathroom with toilet and shower, various soft towels, a piece of soap, great beds with enough pillows, little seating and a dressing table. Note: the mattress is a bit hard but I slept every evening great. The staff is super friendly, always helpful and they all speak French and English. Breakfast was a bit poor. A simple croissant, some bread, butter, jam and a small piece of La vache qui rit. A cup of yogurt, some orange juice and coffee or tea. For the amount of bread a slice of cheese or boiled egg would be great or some fruit. Breakfast is served at the roof terrace. Great place with a view over the whole city, but a bit cold in March. Therefore I didn’t mind that breakfast was served from 08.30 am. It's located right in the heart of Essaouirra, near the old medina and harbor. Turn to your right and get lost in the many little (side) streets or walk straight on to the harbor. Turn left and you are at the local 'market'. In the evening from app. 8 pm it changes but still worth a visit. There are public parking places but you have to know the way. And you can't get in front of the hotel with your car.

Nice, clean place

Reviewed 24 june, 2019

Nice, clean place. Beautiful design, comfortable beds. Water pressure is not good in the shower Breakfast was fine, there were better places. Very nice staff. There was no air conditioner but they opened windows and that was enough.
