The hotel is lovely! A small bar area with a great bartender, and a nice restaurant. We did not eat there, but the menu looked enticing. Our room was beautiful, bathroom nice size. Loved he teapot and coffee pot. Plenty of closet space. Our room had two chairs outside to enjoy the fresh air.
Excellent experience at Historic Crags Lodge

Historic Crags Lodge was an excellent location for our son and his fiance's wedding to be held. First, the overall service was absolutely excellent. All of the personnel at the front desk were consistently friendly, professional and helpful. A special thanks goes to the restaurant manager, Aki, who was particularly helpful with last minute planning for the reception as well as the setup of the ballroom for the wedding reception and dinner. His overall demeanor and assistance, as well as hard work, helped insure a successful wedding and reception, and his calm presence relieved much of the burden and concern of my wife and I as pertained to last minute preparations. The food prepared at Crags Lodge for the wedding reception was excellent, as rated by family attendees as well as the wedding reception guests whom we surveyed. And though staffing has been under pressure due to Covid, the personnel helping to serve the food also did an excellent job and helped assure the success of the reception. The outside wedding venue at Historic Crags Lodge offers a striking view of the surrounding Rocky Mountains, and was a perfect location for the ceremony.. The Lodge was very well prepared for Covid, being kept quite clean, with abundant hand sanitizer stations available; and with restrictions on no. of riders allowed on elevators, etc. Though some rooms have more space than others, overall the rooms were nice as well as clean. However, it is suggested that when making reservations Lodge patrons request rooms with a view in the direction of the town and mountains, rather than overlooking the the parking lot. The Lodge is adjacent to the town of Estes Park, so just a few minutes drive to the town center, which is quite convenient. All in all our experience was very positive, with a successful wedding and reception and enjoyable stay at Historic Crags Lodge.

We had our wedding here a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved our experience! My husband and I set up a room block for our guests and they had a wonderful time, as well. The rooms were clean and the staff was fantastic! And you can't beat the beautiful area with a fantastic view. This was our second time staying at Historic Crags Lodge, and we look forward to going back!

Booked the Crag's Lodge to celebrate my in-laws 50th anniversary with 3 families total ranging in age from 7 to 76. We absolutely loved it. The lodge itself is charming. The lobby, dining room and game room were so cozy with several beautiful stone fireplaces (I want to go back in the wintertime). Located up on the hill (but walking distance into town), the lodge and restaurant have spectacular views. The pool area is great and well maintained. My kids loved the game room with pool table. Best of all was the staff. We had an issue with the 3rd party we booked through and one of the staff spent hours pulling strings and making sure our vacation went off without a hitch. We are so grateful! While in Estes, we hiked at Rocky Mountain National Park, rafted on the Colorado river, road horses, saw Elk, Moose, Bald Eagles, Coyotes and more. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world. If you go in summer, make sure to make restaurant reservations in advance.

This is a historic lodge in a beautiful setting. It is a quiet place to stay. If you like modern style this is not the place for you. There are some things they could do to help the aesthetics but the past year and a half of COVID has made it hard to get help.
