Nowadays Casa do Governador is a property with 3 “Houses”: 6-bedroom Villa - Casa Original (Original House), 5-bedroom Villa - Dourada (Golden) and 1-bedroom Villa - Casa dos caseiros. The 28acres property is located in an ecological reserve area, of which 5acres are vineyards. In the 19th century, our 6-bedroom Villa was used as an infirmary and quarantine place for the old friars of Convento do Espinheiro, where, according to the legend, vines were seeded and wine was produced by the friars.
