We stayed for 8 nights in September 2015. New ownership has made a big difference.
A good welcome, we stayed in an annexe to the hotel. The room was comfortable but rustic. We were told that improvements to the rooms were planned for next season. The restaurant is now excellent, superb food and good friendly service. New ownership has transformed it. We will definitely return soon.
Sad and run down
We stayed here on a bike tour stop. The place is unkempt and dirty outside although rooms were clean but very basic. Overall it felt dishevelled and unloved. The 'separately' run restaurant was very poor quality and the service was surly and ungenerous. I do not recommend either of these establishments.
Over priced
We stayed for just one night. Our room was quite basic but it did have a nice terrace leading out to a swimming pool. We were very disappointed that the price of 90 euros did not include breakfast. The restaurant was closed in the morning so we had to go in search of something to eat elsewhere.
Not the same any more!
We have stayed at this Logis on 3 previous occasions. Because of a change in owners, this place has gone right down. The restaurant used to be the best eating place in the area, packed every night, now it is all they can do to muster four tables of diners. The Logis grading has been reduced to 2 pots, but it is not even that good, as the lack of customers was evidence. One night I was served fish that was undercooked, and my wife's salmon was dry and hard. The potatoes looked very much as though they were frozen reconstituted. At breakfast we were provided with packets of UHT milk, which is unforgivable at this price. The accommodation is about the same basic level as previous. The clear impression was gained that the new owner had little or no experience of an establishment at this level. A real pity, it used to be an absolute gem.
a good Logis, well above its grading
excellent small and friendly place, handy for Carcassonne and Lagrasse. restaurant superior to the 2 pots marking, certainly on the night we ate there. nice rooms, quiet, sampled the pool, (unheated but a nice fresh dip!).
