Absolutely fantastic
We stayed with these lovely people for 10 days, Anna and her husband Ilias made us very welcome. They could not do enough for us . They made us feel like one of the family. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to the restaurants, bars and shops. All the staff are absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend this amazing hotel. Thank you for our lovely stay Anna, we will be back to see you.
Fantastic!
The apartments are in a very nice position close to the ser, the team is very friendly and kind, the breakfast is good and all the food is homemade. Moreover all the structure is very clean. I can only recommend it to everyone!
Home away from home
This boutique hotel is in a quiet lane and just a stone's throw away from Faliraki Beach so you don't get disturbed by the noises of beach side cafes and bars. In fact, I found the location just perfect. The bus stop to head into the Rhodes old town/ Lindos etc is just a 10-minute walk away (frequency of buses is very good. about 15-20 minutes between buses) and if you want to take a boat to the old town or to the nearby island of Symi, the harbour is less than 8 minutes walk. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have a small kitchenette if you want to heat or cook a small meal. Frankly, you won't be hungry because the owner Anna and her team stuff you up just like your mom would (does) and you literally need to skip lunch because of the huge breakfast they give you (included in the price!). All freshly made and includes Greek specialties and continental options that will satisfy the most fussy customer. What's more, you get served a dessert after that! Yes, you read that right. Trust me, you need to diet a bit before you head here because Anna is so kind and she really works hard so you do want to do justice to all that she serves you every morning. You MUST try her home made jams. I used to take dollops of her rose and apricot jam every morning and also made her pack me some when I was heading back home. Anna also offers dinners if you want which includes one starter and one main. We asked her to make us the authentic Greek Okra and chicken and it was soooo good and extremely affordable. Anna told me she intends conducting cooking classes in early season because she is keen on teaching visitors about Greek cuisine. I am sure she's going to be hugely successful given what a fabulous chef she is! Oh and the best part is that all guests have a free dinner included in their stay on Wednesdays when the family comes together and also teaches you to dance like Zorba! I must admit even with my two left feet, I did manage to have a great time! If you want to step out for a meal, you have several well-priced good options within walking distance. There is also a convenience store located just outside the lane if you want to buy anything. Anna's family also has a car rental service and they give you really good deals. We pre-booked for 4 days and got a free pick up and drop off to and from the airport. There are several points of interests to cover on this island and I highly recommend a trip to Lindos, Kamiros (archaeology) and 7-springs (nature) besides the Tsambika Beach for a little bit of beach fun. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the towels are changed as well. Overall, we were more than satisfied with our stay and we were really sad when it was time to leave. It was like saying goodbye to family.
For a real Greek experience, with a human touch, do not come to Rhodes without staying here
There are many choices on Rhodes - including humongous all-inclusive resorts that could be situated anywhere along the Mediterranean seacoast. If you are coming for that sort of experience, then Anelia's is probably not for you. If you are thinking about recreating your memories, however faint and hazy they may be now (or even then), of your nighttime escapades in Faliraki prior to 2003, then Anelia's is also probably not for you. But if you want something real, something authentic, a generosity and friendliness that by far transcend what you have had in a typical touristic vacation, then come to Anelia's. You will become part of the family, you will even try to dance (be there on a Wednesday evening - lessons included), maybe even succeed at a Greek line dance, learn to speak a couple of words in Greek, and feel almost Greek during your time here. Other Tripadvisors have spoken of the breakfasts, the fully-equipped kitchens, the (included) Wednesday night dinner plus dancing, the proximity to the beach, to restaurants, and to town, the possibility of renting cars/bikes - all true. Maybe other places have similar offerings (as hard as it might be to imagine), but only Anelia's has Ana and her wonderfully helpful and amiable staff. Your fond memories of your stay in Rhodes will almost certainly be centered around your time here. And you are not that far away from some of the sites you are planning to visit anyway on the island - Anthony Quinn and Ladika beaches, Lindos, Kamiros, Rhodes City - and you can easily make it back after a long day to re-charge at Anelia's, ready for the next day's outing.
Greek hospitality
Very nice and friendly Anna - the owner. Hard working person but with smile on her face. She invite us, help, gave her heart! She offer clean, big room with many facilities. She prepared very good breakfast and cook her own cakes!!!! Very nice to our 7 years old child. Clean hotel, close to the beach.
