Great for allergies

Reviewed 1 january, 2022

Great for people with allergies. We went for a week with someone who needed gluten free food and she had her own menu to preorder from everyday with lots of choice, at all meals. This made our stay a lot more relaxing as we weren’t worrying about food.

Great family holiday in a wonderful resort

Reviewed 2 november, 2021

Stayed here in October and can't fault the place rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, maybe a few thicker blankets at night as gets chilly lol. Food was nice, hot a good choice and there was always somewhere to sit. Pools and water park are great and then there's the staff who are a credit not great with names but from Roy and Enzo the 2 entertainment staff and the reception staff, restaurant staff bar staff the are a credit to the hotel. Can't wait to return. Last note location is great nice walk to beach or free buss, train at 7 euros of taxi around the same, while there try a breakfast at mike's bar great food and great owners.

A real mix of pros & cons

Reviewed 1 november, 2021

Before I start getting into detail, let me just say that overall this is a lovely resort, & even though my review will cover some negative points, I didn't want this to come across as being the overriding theme We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August & into September. Check in - a bit of a pain with forms to fill in, surely they have all of your details already. Map with directions to your room given, Can see how this could be complicated as the map is such a faint photocopy that its hardly visible, but we did find the room. Reception staff - Always helpful & friendly, particularly Melanie, excellent. Arrival at our room - Room 5111, 2 bedroomed overlooking the main pool - 30 plus degrees inside, no aircon until power fob is inserted, the most ancient aircon ever, literally barely worked. Room was spacious, water provided in fridge upon arrival. Not one of the newly refurbished rooms, a little dated, but all very clean. Beds are HARD but we still slept fine. Not enough bedding, only one sheet to cover you up with. No spares or blankets, we had to use beach towels to cover up on the first night. Next morning asked the cleaner for more sheets, which we got, but these had been taken by the end of the holiday. Cleaner is in 6 days a week, room & bathroom always cleaned & beds made. Large double balcony overlooking the pool, one of the best locations possible, with beautiful views. All in all the room met our requirements , somewhere to sleep, wash etc. Wifi - not useable in our room, had to sit out on the balcony to use it, so couldn't lie in bed & catch up on social media etc. Wifi ok in most areas though, just could be a bit temperamental. Pools - possibly the nicest pools I've ever been to. Immaculately maintained, great water temperature, spacious, nicely designed. Water park is like new, finished with marble & very smooth tiling, all immaculately clean & maintained. Surrounding areas are grassed, which is not too bad. Sunbeds are highly sought after, though I suppose it depends on time of year, but reserving on a morning became necessary. Sunbeds are also well used & some are broken, but to be expected with the amount of use they get. Atmosphere - Has the potential to be a great daytime atmosphere, but has some issues. Pool side speaker for music is great, just needs a bit more consideration on what music is actually playing. Not much going on through the day & not much engagement from entertainment team. We were there with 2 teenage daughters & not once did the entertainment team approach us to say hi, ask to get involved etc. Would be a great family resort if it were not for the groups of singles who would be better looking for a club 18-30 type of resort. Although this is not the fault of Cyprotel, the large groups of German lads, English girls, drinking heavily all day & blasting hours of angry German techno music through their boom box, pretty much ruined the holiday. Food - a bit meh, repetative lunch choices at the snack bar. Evening meals just about ok, generally everybody could find something they were happy to make a meal of. The famous pizza was a life saver. Desserts are not good. Restaurant is nicely refurbished & staff were plentiful & hard working. The resort could maybe benefit from another restaurant for a bit more variety. General points - hills & steps are unavoidable & are plentiful! If you have mobility issues, whether it be carrying extra weight or a health condition, then this seriously is not the resort for you. The hills are steep & there are hills & steps to get EVERYWHERE, it became tiresome. Its out in the middle of nowhere, car hire on site is not expensive, so plan your holiday & make use of it. The free bus to the beach, takes you to a bit of a tatty beach with nothing there, not worth the trip. Would be better planning a trip to a better beach. Weather was outstanding, 29 - 32 degrees daily with not a cloud in the sky. The grounds are nicely maintained & attractive. All in all some great things going for it, I just didn't have the best time, & so it is unlikely I would return, unless the rest of the family really wanted to.

Family Trip to Rhodes for Half-Term Week

Reviewed 31 october, 2021

Rhodes; Rhodes and the Greek way of life is something that grows on you each day of your holiday. The Island is easy to get around, people are friendly and welcoming, some great scenery, the beaches are varied between sand and pebbles but water is crystal clear! Weather is hot and dependable. Hotel; My main advice before considering if this hotel is right for you is to look at one of the hotel booking sites to gauge the price per night here v other choices inc what you get for your money. I booked based on the 4 star rating and package but this hotel is more of a 3 star. However price wise per night all inclusive it is way more competitive against the other hotels on island. So you need to consider this alongside the facilities to decide if it’s right for you. If I was measuring this hotel as a true 4 star it would get more towards 3.5 stars on trip advisor for me but I did not want to lean that way as the staff and other Pros made up for this. Also this is life post Covid and the hotels just have not had the income to invest as they would pre Covid so hopefully they will recover during 2021 and 2022 to fix some of the Cons below. Pros; -Staff are always friendly and will do anything for you to help across the bars, reception, restaurant -Water park and Pools are a bonus and was not busy -Kids club is well supported with lots of activities -Service is good and we never had to wait long for drinks, food, tables or for plates to be cleared etc. -Loungers there are many and you don’t need to reserve unless you need front row seats at the pool -Free late check out was no issue at all -Location is not bad as you can get into main town with a cab ride or I would recommend hiring a car it’s only 30Euro all in per day for entry level car Cons; - Rooms - Basic, Beds are very hard and uncomfortable, rooms are very aged as is decor. Some serious updating needed. - I would compare the room to something from a Travelodge level rather than a Hilton, Crowneplaza level -Room bath towels are also tiny and low thread count again like something from a Travelodge - Drinks are not great as local spirits and Orange and pineapple juice from mixers are nothing like the real thing so you could not drink them at breakfast like you would in UK - Food offer was pretty much the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. It would have been great to have themed nights. I would say however the quality of lunch and dinner food on offer was good taste wise. -WiFi was very very slow even with low amount of guests so get ready to use your 4G! -Don’t take a joint bus from the airport to hotel, ours took over 1hr for a journey that should have been 20mins

Good hotel would definitely go back

Reviewed 31 october, 2021

Good hotel had a great time will definitely visit again when all restrictions are lifted how ever the food wasn't up to much was very repetitive and bar staff were rude. There was only 1 bar open the whole time we was there so occasional long ques for drinks. The draught been was good and was also a good verity of cocktails. Rooms were nice and cleaned everyday
