Excellent Hotel but Lax on Covid Protocols
Reviewed 1 october, 2021
This hotel seems brand new, from the beautiful lobby to the clean and well appointed rooms. Every employee we encountered or observed working during our stay treated guests with respect and in several cases, treated guests like family. (We were in the lobby a long time while we did laundry in the free laundry room. The room is too small to wait in, so we came to the comfortable lounge by the front desk.) They were also respectful to each other. One shortfall we found was the inconsistent Covid protocols in place. Sometimes employees wore masks, sometimes they didn't We noticed that as night came on, the employees were more lax. Despite signs clearly posted about wearing masks, staff did not offer masks to guests who checked in who were not wearing masks, and there were several. I get it though that the front desk should not be mask police. We're vaccinated and for all we know, everyone else was too. But that aside, the hotel gleamed. Our room was very comfortable. The bed and pillows were fantastic, and the bathroom sparkled and was spacious. Breakfast is the usual scrambled eggs, waffles, etc., so there is something for everyone. It is very quiet at night despite the fact the hotel was filled up. It's close to great restaurants downtown, but there are a couple of fast food restaurants nearby. I did find that a guest wrestled with our drapes in our room because they were off the rail and non functioning. The sheers were also torn. Those are little things housekeeping ought to catch so they can be replaced. Shout out to the front desk clerk who learned that the hotel was out of shampoo bottles and went to the store and bought some so guests would have shampoo. I was one of those people. Next time in Farmington, we will definitely stay here.
This Hotel is a Gem!

I have spent hundreds of nights in hotels. Every once in a while, I get surprised by a property. Such was the case of the Comfort Suites in Farmington NM. This is a great hotel. It is kept in immaculate condition. The staff is outstanding from the front deck to housekeeping.. We spent three nights at the hotel and will be back again next year.

Great experience. Crystal at the Front desk was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We felt safe. Close proximity to Chaco Canyon, Salmon ruins and Aztec Ruins.
Unclean Smelling Blanket/Comforter
Reviewed 26 july, 2021
Pleasant enough at first glance and had updated lobby decor but not as clean as expected. The sofa was stained, so we didn’t sit on it. But the biggest problem was the bedding. I barely slept because there was a strong odor to the blanket/comforter that was even stronger every time one of us moved. Without being too graphic, it smelled like when someone doesn’t wash their hair for a very long time. Clearly the bedding needed to be washed (sandwiching it between sheets is not enough). Also, I thought it was very odd that when we checked in, the front desk girl (who was super nice) was tasked with folding sheets at the front desk (there were piles of sheets all over). We stayed here for the last night of a three week road trip and this was by far the worst night’s sleep. Other hotels were Hampton, Best Western Plus, Motel Six.

Crystal was amazing I was a little bit worried about leaving my truck loaded with everything I own in the parking lot overnight but I ended up parking it directly under a bright light and she reassured me the night audit did a good job of checking the lot and everything was fine the hotel was excellent too 1010 would stay again
