More about the hotel
Perfectly acceptable. Good stay.
Farragut is as good a place to stop as any in Knoxville if you are passing through and have no local destination to be near. The Fairfield Inn measures up very well, and the staff is good. The inn's Covid practices seem excellent; the guests', overall, was good. But groups of soccer kids and their parents came along, and not all of them bothered to mask up. No one asked them to comply even while they hung around the lobby. Noise was not a problem to complain about during our stay. But it could be. We heard persons above when they marched around their room. The walls do seem thin for what is otherwise a well-appointed and relatively new place. There is a hot breakfast served over the counter when you order it. Nothing fabulous, still worth noting.
Convenient - right off I-40
Quiet, clean and convenient. Good parking and well lit. Easy in and out. Only issue we experienced was with a pillow request; we made the request upon check in and was told that they were being cleaned/washed. Called back about an hour later and was told that they were being disinfected (same guy). Called back again about an hour later and talked to another desk clerk who advised that she wasn’t left any instructions for additional pillows and had never heard of them being disinfected. Not good customer service for sure. The service issue brought it down from a 4 to a 3.
great place to stay
the hotel is new, close to highway and eatery. check in was easy, the room was nice and clean. Breakfast choices are limited because of covid. Overall is a good overnight stay. Definitely will stay here afain.
Unexpected stop. Unexpectedly bad.
On my way to relaxing weekend in Gatlinburg. Camping was all full. Searched for the cheapest Marriott brand, and this was it. Oh boy, I should have paid more. In 1500 nights at a Marriott hotel (4 years of my life - Lifetime Titanium), I can tell you this is the worst staff in my experience. But on to what you care about- bad beds, doors that don’t open right, A/C that is loud and sporadic, thin walls, worn carpet and inedible breakfast. I spoke to the GM about the mask requirement and the ADA exemption. His answer is to go somewhere else. This is a franchise, and obviously the stress has gotten to them. The staff is slovenly, unprofessional, and ignorant. Anyone can have an argument; it would take gentlemen to have a discussion.
Terrific place: clean and friendly service
We stopped overnight on our way home from Florida. Definitely a new stop over. Everything was so clean and the staff so very helpful and friendly. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve had in a hotel in a long time.
