More about the hotel
A perfect bubble away from reality...
From finding this incredible place, to the moment we (very reluctantly) checked out, everything was just a joy. The house is stunning and has been lovingly put together by Daragh. It is utter luxury and yet totally comfortable, no standing on ceremony here. We stayed in Egret, and enjoyed the large bath and stunning sea views, not to mention the treat of the Juliet balcony. Daragh and her staff, augmented by a team of goldfish and dogs, are the perfect hosts - and the location could not be more stunning. Breakfast is wonderful and Bertie the local taxi will whisk you off to nearby restaurants if you so wish. We will definitely return! Thank you!
Highly Recommend
Tralee Golf Course was on our hit list of oneof the courses we wanted to play this year. I happened to come across Barrow House as somewhere to stay close by to the golf course. Little did I know what an absolute gem of a guesthouse this was going to be. What a fantastic 2 days we had while staying there . Daragh’s hospitality along with all her staff and the attention to detail in both decor and service is unbelievable. At the moment Barrow house just serves Breakfast which was amazing - I think they hope to move to some evening meals in the near future which would be another bonus. If you are planning a trip to Tralee I would highly recommend Barrow House.
The perfect location
Went to Barrow for the first leg of our honeymoon, and couldn't have picked a better spot. Such a friendly welcome, amazing house and surroundings. Breakfast was excellent and varied, and there was a range of places to have dinner within driving distance and the gold club nearby if you wanted to walk. Couldn't recommend it enough.
Another fabulous stay
Stayed in Barrow house with family and friends for four nights. Once again we had a fantastic time. The hospitality was amazing. Dara was as always so welcoming. We went on beautiful walks, ate amazing food, some played golf, we swam everyday. It is such a tranquil place. We had such fun. The rooms are so comfortable, it was nice to be snuggled down while storm Ellen raged. We will he back to this beautiful spot again as soon as possible.
Outstanding B&B
Early Georgian house that has been beautifully restored and adapted for guests. Wonderful location overlooking a quiet bay, in the middle of a conservation area and just a short walk to a beautiful clean beach and one of Ireland's best golf courses. There are good restaurants a short drive away and a home cinema to amuse on a wet afternoon. Breakfasts are a lavish treat, bedrooms are comfortable and then there is your hostess, Darragh, whose wit and character ensures you have an enjoyable and memorable stay.
