Locanda Modigliani

Not expected when entering a little bar as so many in Italy, you forget it next time, that is hiding a B&B that some3 star hotels should take an example on. The room very spacious cosy with beams and terracotta tiles exactly as shown on the picture, you feel immediately at home. walls wash pastels & reproductions of the work of Modigliani. Massage shower was a treat. but not to forget the cleanliness of the room. above expectation. location ideal 7 min. walk from the castle and all other sites. Another plus has a private garage in a side street. by reservation and payment, so safely stored, Breakfast i counted at least 6-8 different home made cakes. Very friendly a family hotel, used to stay in 4 - 5 star hotels, but i would go back there any time.understandably they have received the excellence factor.The roof garden is a plus.

The inn keeper was very friendly and recommended some great spots for dinner. There was a huge jacuzzi tub in our room which we did not expect. Breakfast was again larger than normal. The location is perfect die walking into the city. Only negative was a bit of street noise when the window was open. Very happy and would definitely stay again.

Although unpacking the car on the street was a little awkward we parked nearby and were then right in the centre of the city with its restaurants and key sites nearby. The roof terrace - which we had to ourselves - was a bonus. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms small though modern; everything worked. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and, since the establishment includes a café alongside, you can have anything you want. A definite recommendation.

We spent a very pleasant day in Ferrara and this accomodation was perfectly situated. We had booked on site parking but it did not materialise and we were directed to parking a few blocks away. We could, however, unpack and repack our car on the street quite close so this proved not to be a problem. Our room was a delightful little studio style full of Modigliani reproductions which opened onto a beautiful roof garden with plenty of space and comfortable sitting out places. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and, with an adjacent cafe being part of the establishment, we could have had anything we wanted. We would thoroughly recommend this place for a stay of any length in Ferrara.

Great location, steps away from all the sites. Very friendly family owned - everyone chips in to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast buffet was spare and uneven, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return.
