Never Rent A Uhaul
Uhaul broke down in highway and needed a place to stay. Saw the new hotel and booked. The room was clean and I was paranoid about Covid. Quiet nights stay. Staff was friendly and convenient location. No complaints from me and I was pleasantly surprised.
Great value
Mostly updated hotel. Room was spacious & comfortable. Coffee, fridge & free wifi in rooms. The only negative was the sofa in our seating area. Looked dirty & should be replaced or cleaned. Rest of room was great.
Worst stay ever and not COVID friendly
I stayed here for 3 nights. Checking out today and all I can say is thank God for earplugs. There were teens everywhere and the room above me had a family with teenagers who kept me up every night until 2 am and I couldn’t even lay down during the day because of the noise. I complained Monday. Today is Wednesday. The front desk clerk said she’d take care of it. It got worse. The front desk staff act like they don’t care. So I wasted over 300 hard earned dollars to have to not hear even TV because I had to keep earplugs in. I’m disappointed and expect to have this handled. It’s not fair I had to pay for a clean quiet room and that’s not what I got. Also none of the front desk staff had a mask on. And out of all cleaning crew only 2 had one on. The woman cleaning my room before I checked in didn’t have a mask on and the woman coming in to clean as I left didn’t have a mask on. Most hotels right now are requiring all staff and guests to wear masks. Now I’m hoping I don’t go home and have COVID. If I do at least I’ll know where I got it. I’m sure DHEC would like to know. Please address these concerns.
Hell On Earth
Most of the staff were great, with the exception of a surly, afternoon front desk person. I emphatically do not recommend staying here. Although clean, there was a nauseating, perfumey cleaner (spray) used In the room; the odor never dissipated. The parking lot lights can be seen from space, and shone right in my window all night. They have heavy curtains, but only half panels, purely decorative. There were several parking lot “discussions” (with door slamming and crying). The whole area is super skeevy and sketch. There was a loud party going on across the hall. I stopped here on the leg of a long trip, in order to get some rest, but ended up more tired the next day, than I was when I arrived. Miserable experience. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.
Coffee?
Wow beautiful place... Coffee station all empty... One pot of bold was ice cold... And empty creamers and sugar everywhere!!!... I told front desk.. She said you have coffee in your room!!... Heck no don't trust the pots in a room!!
