Located close to the Accademia Museum and a 10-minute walk to the Duomo and the heart of the city. Our rooms furnished in a simple and basic way, but very clean and tidy. We stayed some days ago in this hotel. There are BED BUGS in this hotel! Watch out! The owner is very unprofessional and unfriendly (look also at his terrible answers to negative reviews). We contacted the owner about the bed bugs but as usual he reacted very rude and denied everything! Although a french family reported the bed bugs too some days ago in their booking.com review!
Everything you need for a quick city stay

Comfortable bed, working air conditioning, a clean room, an elevator/lift and friendly service- what more could you ask for? Although this is a guesthouse and not a hotel, we loved our stay at Hotel Aline! We arrived a few hours before check-in and the gentleman in reception let us leave our bags while we explored and even put them in our room once it was ready. The bed and pillows were some type of foam and it felt like sleeping on a cloud; our "naps" quickly turned into 3-4 hours long. The air conditioning cooled the room almost instantly and even during the 105F/40.6C weather, we had to turn it off because we were too cold. The room was a bit of a tight squeeze with 2 full-size suitcases, but we still had room to move around without needing to jump over things. We were in room 12 with a renovated bathroom. Everything was super clean! The view from the balcony was everything I dreamed of-mountain views that made me forget I was in the city. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Firenze S.M.N train station and the Duomo (in opposite directions). We were about a 15-10 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery and a 5 minute walk from the Galleria d'Academia and the Central Market. We enjoyed being away from the busy tourist areas. The cafe across the street, Leonardo's, was worth being a bit further out. Do yourself a favor, go to Leonardo's, grab an espresso, sit in the garden and enjoy the little oasis tucked away in the middle of Florence.
Cheap, clean, great location

We stayed here for 4 nights with the purpose of sightseeing through Florence. It is an ideal location for this. Just 10-15 minutes walk to Piazza del Duomo and all the main attractions around that area. The hotel is on the 4th floor of a building and located only by a plaque by a closed door so keep your eyes open. There's a lift up. We were told to check-in by 7pm however the owner contacted us by phone that day to ask what our plans were in case we would be later as he would make arrangements for us. This wasn't necessary but a great gesture. The man we saw at reception on arrival (and when we checked out - offered to allow us to leave our bags if we didn't fly until later) was really pleasant and helpful. Our room was the first one as you entered and not next door to another room which meant it was quiet. We knew the room only came with a shower and not a toilet but the toilet was right next door and pretty much never used so felt like our own. Rooms are basic but for a city break just what you need. Very, very clean. Absolutely spotless in fact. Bed made up every day with clean towels. There were free tea and coffee facilities down the hall and also a vending machine. For the trip we were on this ticked all the boxes and we had a great stay.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is near the city center. The room was fine, but basic. It was a good value for the money. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked. For a one star hotel is was just fine. It is very close to the marketplace, the Duomo and the museum with the David statue. Good, cheap accomodation.
Good value for money. --BALCONY--

We stayed for a week in Florence and were pleasantly surprised with our cheap accommodation! Hotel aline is quaint, albeit somewhat dated, situated in the centre in Florence on the fourth floor. The view is good and scenic. There is a LIFT for getting your luggage up to the hotel, which is a nice bonus. Staff are also very friendly. The only downside is that reception is only open between 9am and 7pm so make sure you arrive within that time. Be advised there is no Aircon without paying extra so if you're staying in the summer months you will only get a fan.
