More about the hotel
A good b&b stay.
The hosts are so helpful can't do enough for you. The rooms are good size very clean, the courtyard is great. It is about 6min walk to train station and 15min walk to the main square.Breakfast is good.Value for money you wont beat it.The only downside is no parking and the bed and pillows are not the best.
Convient and quiet location in Florence
As far as B & B's, I Due Leoni was perfect for us. Combining a bit of work with some vacation, we were quite comfortable to spread out in our spacious room on the ground floor and enjoy the quaint garden just outside our sliding door. As the weather was very pleasant, we opened our door to the garden each night to sleep with the fresh air. Lorenzo, the owner, made our first visit to Italy a very positive one as he rang up taxis for us, gave us good walking directions, stored our luggage when we went to Rome for a few days, and allowed us to nuzzle and cuddle his a very cool dog (who the guests generally do not have the pleasure of meeting) as we were missing our own two dogs. Breakfast was simple but tasty with fresh coffee or tea, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and homemade cakes. The breakfast tables all had handmade table cloths (made by the owner's grandmother as the facility has been in the family for a number of years). Our own room was clean and had handy lighting for reading in bed at night without disturbing each other. The bathroom (as we call it in America) had a shower with powerful hot water, and had both a toilet and a bidet. The B & B is only 5-10 minutes from the train station and even though there was construction along part of the route, we managed to easily use the station as a landmark as we walked the town. Oh, and be prepared if you take a taxi and be careful when walking. Don't even consider hiring your own car unless you are a professional at driving through Paris, New York, and Florence traffic! The driver's in Florence are amazingly precise even though they travel quickly, get within a few feet of each car, and maneuver around the motorcycles. Turning left out of I Due Leoni, we discovered a local part of town that has the best Italian restaurant hands down. This is authentic Italian food and their pizza is simply the best, without the thick crust, heaps of tomato sauce and cheese that is common in American pizza. Our first night in Italy was further complimented by a fresh market near the restaurant whose owner would not allow me to touch the fruit, but selected it for my approval. (No hidden bruises or fingerprints on this fruit!) Since we travel often, the location for us was perfect, quiet, and fit our budget. Not a slick, high price hotel, but a friendly and welcoming home away from home. We felt safe in the neighborhood and will definitely return.
I would return, for sure!
B&B I Due Leoni is about 10 minutes walk from the train station. Very easy to be found. Lorenzo, the owner, is a very kind person. He nicely let us make a late check out that helped us very much during our day trip in Florence. The breakfast is very good, the wifi worked very well and the room is very large. Excellent stay. PS: Although we told the B&B our arrival time, there wasn't anyone waiting for us when we arrived. We needed to phone him and wait about 20 minutes for his arrival.
Quite nice for BB but nothing special
B&B is a few quarters on the ground floor. Quite big and clean room, refrige (which doesn't cut off when you go away), LCD TV, quiet place (but not soundproof), private bathroom in the room. Not much of a daylight (windows are closed) but in some rooms there are doors to the garden and you can open them. 15 min to the train station. Almost nothing nearby (nearest supermarket is 15 min off). Breakfast is good enough.
Having Breakfast in beatiful garden
I was staying in this hotel and too much comfrotable to having in the garden!!! Thier rooms is clean and cheap!!! In addition, the staff is so friendly and kindly!!!! After I could be stay in there, I was feeling be good! If you will stay in Florence, you have better the choise one in all hotel cos this hotel is quite and silence area. But the center of Florence about sightseeing area is far a bit but I could go to the main of station as simply.
