Unclear, hard to find, non responsive
We booked a room here and unfortunately got stuck in traffic on our way. Because we didn’t make the 6 pm check in there was nobody there and no parking available. They did not answer the phone when we called and refused to give a refund. These people are crooks and take your money. They are not flexible by any means. Think twice before booking.
Great Place and Location - I will be back
Great place and very cost-effective. The location could not have been any better. I will definitely be staying here again. Note: I would have rated the place an excellent but the "area of improvement" they need to do is warm the rooms up as well as the hot water for the showers (there is only one temperature setting for the shower). I can only presume its b/c I visited late summer / early autumn, and they have not changed the temperature settings. I did not inform them about this while I was there so they did not get a chance to resolve the situation for me. either way, as stated above, I highly recommend this place (we got the big room with the kitchen & living room)... we will be back!
Beautiful hotel, lovely stay
This hotel is wonderful! It is in the center of Florence with the most amazing staff. It is so modern, clean and beautiful- I loved the rainhead shower and the hardwood floors. Simona was so kind and helpful and the cleaning staff went above and beyond for us. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence.
David in
We visited Florence for 3 days from 20th to 22nd May 2019. We stayed in la Torre Dei Salterelli which is located in the Piazza Dei Salterelli. The location is extraordinary. The moment you step out of the room and walk a few steps and look to the right you will see Piazza Della Signoria with the replica of David standing along with several masterpieces in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and cozy. The internet which is free is very fast. But it is the location which a very important feature of the place. All the important places you would like to visit including The Duomo, Academia, The Uffizi Gallery, The Bargello and Medici Chapel are within 10 minutes walking distance. But most important is the hospitality of Pietro and Simona which makes this place special.
Perfectly adequate- great location
The staff here were incredibly nice and helpful. The hotel is two blocks from Uffizi and walking distance from most every sight in Florence. It is very reasonably priced as well. My only possible critique is that as a B&B one star hotel, the quality of room was like a nice European hostel or an American Red Roof Inn. There was a comfortable bed and shower. But it did have a bit of an odor. My wife and I were on our honeymoon so it would not have been our first choice in terms of romance. But that is our lack of diligence, and I won’t fault the hotel for that. The price for the location and friendly staff are worth it if you are looking for convenience and/or have a stricter budget.
