Great time at Regatta Inn

We had a very nice time at the Regatta Inn - stayed there for 4 nights and really enjoyed the quiet and the amazing views on the river and sunsets. That environment is so precious... The beach is nearby, a 5-minute walk. The property is beautiful and the staff is great. Paige took particularly good care of us: she showed us around when we arrived and she fixed delicious breakfasts and happy hours... Only downside is that the walls are thin. However, the clientele is for the most part laid-back and quiet couples, so we were not bothered by the noise around us. We will be back!

Oasis on Folly Beach

We love Folly Beach & Regatta Inn. We own a condo on the beach but have stayed here twice in the past 4 months while we were having work done. Location is great - convenient to everything but quiet while you’re there. Staff is warm & friendly. Love the breakfast and happy hour! Rooftop deck is amazing to enjoy sunsets.

We travelled to Folly from Knoxville and made last minute reservations at the Regatta Inn. We had seen the Inn before while riding bikes but always stayed on the beach side of the island. The sunsets from the marsh are exquisite so I convinced my husband that this was the right opportunity to stay at the Regatta and we were glad we did. The sunset deck complete with couches and a fire pit were the perfect place the wind down the day and meet new friends. The Inn itself is lovely, the sunsets are spectacular and the staff treated us like family. We met wonderful people during our stay who made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend the Regatta to any couple or group of friends who prefer separate living spaces and want a wonderful place to call home for a few days.

Wonderful, Relaxing Hospitality in a Beautiful, Location

We needed to get away from Atlanta during the holiday season. We needed to see the ocean and to rest and relax. We have been to Charleston many times, but we had never stayed on Folly Beach. We luckily were able to book the Catalina Suite for 4 nights for a quick getaway, and we were delighted! All of the innkeepers were personable and hospitality driven; they wanted each guest to have a great time on Folly Beach and in the surrounding area. Each room has a screened porch, and our room looked out over the garden area; we ate breakfast on the porch each morning. We enjoyed the inn's breakfast and loved the afternoon snacks and yummy cookies! It is a short golf cart ride (provided by the innkeepers) to the magnificent ocean and beach. We sat on the beach in December and could not believe our good luck in finding such an amazing spot. We appreciated the relative seclusion of the inn, sitting on the marina, and sporting amazing views of the sunsets and sunrises each day. We had intended to go into Charleston, but we were charmed by the small town of Folly Beach. We ate several delicious, casual, fresh, seafood meals without wandering far from the inn. We had a wonderful time, and we'll look forward to a return visit to The Regatta Inn and Folly Beach!

Wedding Couples Beware

This place was supposed be a magical place for our wedding. We rented the event space out by the inlet, rented a tent (which you must do in order to use the space), and had the whole Inn rented out for our guests. On our wedding day a wind storm came through and the tent could not go up safely (no tent = no event space). We were forced to find another location the day of our wedding because the venue did not have the any other accommodation's that would shield us from the weather. After the wedding we tried to get a partial refund because of the chaos that occurred. The venue was not understanding and told us they would be keeping our $3,000.00 and there was nothing we could do about it. Horrible people to do business with.
