Pissed off jerk behind counter is a ass
The guy that was working was a complete jerk if I would not be arrested I would have drug him out side and stomped his ass this place is going to loosecalot of business with this clown behind the counter he has absolutely no customer service we walked out went to place down the street and they said same thing that people come there after walking out pretty sad that they loose that much business because of this jerk..never going back nor ever sending anyone there and I live in this town
Nothing fancy but clean and friendly with indoor pool
Quick easy check-in with a courteous, friendly face. Kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the tv and good nights sleep. Nothing special, kind of worn, but reasonably priced and easy access to main road. I would stay here again.
Deferred Maintenance and lack of staffing.
We knew for the price that it would be a little worn but if clean and standard we did not care...not looking for luxury. However the room was not clean. Ants in our room and found bait stations, large sticky spot on carpet not clean, dirty towels in the shower from previous guest, we did not have any darkening curtains or even the lighter drapes to keep out the light. Screen had tons of holes and AC did not work. There was a flood in the unit above us and the front desk manager moved us immediately to another room but remarked that he was on his straight 19th day of working 12 hour days. They really are short staffed and so it doesn't surprise me that the rooms were not up to standards. I felt bad for the staff because they are really nice and gave us extra care. Always friendly. But the deferred maintenance is huge and they did not have the help to fix any of our issues. The biggest was the curtains and AC.
March 7-9, 2019 Stay
I was in Forest Grove for my daughter Basketball State Tournament and booked a 3-night stay at the Americas Best Value Inn, where I’ve stayed before. Once again, I found the location very convenient, the staff friendly, helpful, and very accommodating.
This is a terrible hotel. The smell is disgusting.
I could live with the fact that this hotel is unbelievably old, worn out, and there were holes in the walls, carpeting and screen. What I could not live with was the horrible smell in the room and in the hallway. There were three ant traps spread out on the floor, which was so dirty we couldn't walk on the squishy carpet without socks. I spoke to the young man at the front desk about the smell and he didn't seem to care at all. We checked out early and found another hotel.
