It is a Marriott.
One cannot go wrong with a Marriott hotel. The accommodations are nice and clean. They need work on the breakfast service. The view is funny. You will have to take my word for that- or stay there and see for yourself. Still, it is a comfortable place to be.
Betty was the best part of this hotel
Our experience checking in was weird! We are Elite members and have our Marriott credit card on file. We did the pre-check in online too. Once finding the hotel in a residential back street. The desk person “had” to swipe our credit card. The machine was not working. So we spent a good 10-15 minutes with her to finally say... your credit card is on file “we” can use that. Ugh However our room was clean and in excellent condition. We had to make our breakfast choice at check in since they would pre-Pare our meal and call our room to come and pick up. 6:30 am was our selected time. Betty was there to help with coffee, extra cream and our breakfast meal to “go”. Betty had a fantastic attitude towards this virus junk!!! I admire Betty for here strong personality and I can do attitude!!
Very good
The Fairfield Fort Morgan is very good. Having been built in the last 2 years it features the latest design and amenities of Marriott's Fairfield brand. The gym is by far the best amenity. It is better than some full-service properties under Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, etc. Seriously. One of the best hotel gyms I've seen in a while. My only complaint about the gym: 1) No sanitary wipes 2) No disposable headphones for TVs in fitness equipment 3) No scale to weight yourself Staff were friendly, though I thought the front desk could be better trained. Front desk staff should greet guests by name (as in "Mr. Smith"), thank them for staying at check-in and check-out, and ask guests how their stay was at check-out. Staff weren't rude, but these are three small things that go a long, long ways. It would be nice if the pantry was more extensive. Many new Fairfield properties sell wine and beer. There is no place nice nearby to get drinks and some of the surrounding neighborhood is poor and slummy.
Very clean and quiet
Just passing through and needed to rest for a bit but ended up staying three nights. After 12 hours of driving this has been my go to place since opening and driving southwest. I’ve encountered different service agents with night and day staff. Although I could rate them 1-5 differently I’d rather just say I enjoy this place. The rooms are cleaned very well. The last time o stayed in June 2020 was during the pandemic and the breakfast was ordered per sheets at check in. They would call once ready at the time you asked for. Very minimal though compared to an open buffet. Very limited for less carb and meat options. The woman I encountered I. The elevator who got my breakfast ready and also cleaned rooms, I asked her when we were in elevator. She was so kind and I had wished I got her name. Each year I cost there are always new faces unfortunately. Even managers, always new. I do like that it’s a new facility off the main freeway to Denver and beyond. I used the fitness area and although small it gave me all the options I needed. Walmart is down a few blocks, pizza a call away. It’s a great stopping point. I stayed so long because I was tired. The price was great and service as well. I like that the new people at the desk are catering to guest versus talking to one another like before. It’s nice to see my business matters. Thanks Fairfield!
Not unlike the Plague.
We actually weren’t able to visit this hotel as the COVID pandemic closed the Ski Resort where we intended to spend a week in March, 2020. We were aware of their policy of no refund on cancelled reservations but were very disappointed that unlike all of other places with similar policies including the Vail resort, they chose not to waive any such penalties. So we paid for two rooms that were not used and didn’t even receive Bonvoy credits. We stay at Bonvoy properties enough to attain Titanium Status and we’re assured by Bonvoy central reservations that most all of their licensed partners would waive any penalties under the circumstances. I should have paid more attention to the word “most”. You can be assured that in the future we will avoid this property like the proverbial “plague” that prevented us from completing our trip.
