Not worth the price!

The hotel itself was decent but I feel they are using a shortage of help as an excuse for everything. The website says the offer a hot breakfast but in reality you get danish and yogurt in a bag to go. I realize having breakfast served during the pandemic was an issue initially but I travel a lot for work and with my family, every other hotel brand is back to hot breakfast if they offered it before. I had to make multiple requests each day to get what we needed for the room since they don’t bother to bring towels or even empty trash. And they told me the room would be serviced after our 4th night, that didn’t happen even when I called the front desk about it. They shouldn’t be charging regular rates if they can’t provide the regular services, very disappointed. I won’t be coming back to stay at Residence Inn.

My husband and I spent 3 days at this hotel part personal business and the rest recreational. We enjoyed the location, close to many restaurants, Airport and Ft Myers beaches.
We had a nice suite on the third floor. Bed was comfortable. Small kitchen but had everything you needed except ice cube trays. From desk provided a bag of ice free of charge. Bathroom was nice size. It had a shower/ tub combination. The shower head needs to be modernize . Lots of electrical plugs for your electronics.
The pool area was small but enjoyable. Two tables with umbrellas, 4 lounge chairs, and quite few chairs.
The only reason I didn’t give the hotel 5 stars is the food options were poor. Brown bag breakfast. Bagel, cheese danish was not my idea of a full breakfast. A pantry item was never replaced once the item was sold out. The website needs to be updated to let you know the food options are limited. Also no housekeeping service. However, a cart with clean bath towels were available.
The staff was pleasant and helpful. All in all we enjoy our stay.

As my wife and I were wrapping up our vacation in Naples, we decided to drive up to Fort Myers and stay overnight closer to the airport. I had found this hotel on TripAdvisor, and the reviews were very positive. It is a very good sized hotel and adjacent to several others including a different brand of Marriott right across the parking lot. I couldn’t tell if it was a newer hotel or had just been recently remodeled. The decor looked new and fresh and contemporary, in the commons areas and in the rooms themselves. We had a nice two room suite on the third or fourth floor which consisted of a kitchen, small living room, good-sized bedroom, and very good size bathroom. A room was very nice and immaculate. Enjoyed the lighting and appreciated the large desk in the living room. The kitchen was probably the nicest I have ever seen in a hotel suite at a mass market hotel. The bed was very large and comfortable, and I appreciated the different kinds of lighting in the bedroom and having night stands on both sides of the bed with multiple outlets plug-in phones and other devices. We also enjoyed sitting outside at the gas fire pit, although there seem to be an issue with either the flow of gas or the stronger winds blowing that night. I would absolutely stay here again if in the area and highly recommend this property to others.
Not as good this trip....

I have stayed at this hotel a few times for its proximity to the airport. This trip was disappointing. Found out the shuttle started later in the morning, so the desk clerk arranged for a taxi, which worked well but cost extra $$$. In addition, coffee is no longer available except in the mornings... I wanted to bring a cup back at night, for the early wakeup the next morning. Per the clerk, it's no longer available due to COVID. However, I stayed at other Marriott properties during this trip to FL and coffee was available at off hours. I may try another hotel on my next trip. I thought the price was high, with no amenities.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. The room we were in was a bit old and dated with the exception of the bathroom. No bathtub but a great walk in shower. We were on the 1st floor and on Saturday afternoon, a loud group checked in. I immediately suspected it might be an issue. About 2am, we were woken up by these people returning to the bar. They were hollering down the hall at each other as well as partying in the parking lot outside our window. The walls are paper thin at this hotel and fortunately they finally went to bed shortly after 3:00am. There are tons of restaurant chains within walking distance of this hotel. We had almost no interaction with employees because we didn't go through the front desk area other than to check in and check out. The free breakfast was terrible due to covid. It was in a bag you picked up at front desk. I stayed at another Marriott a couple months ago and they still did the free breakfast but they plated it for you. That was much better.
