Not that bad!

We were wary having read reviews but decided for one night it was worth it. Receptionist was very friendly and polite. The room was clean and the bathroom refurbished. Breakfast was very good with waffles, cereal and pastries juice and coffee. We needed the post office the next day and they printed out directions for us. Cannot fault them and would stay again.

My company wanted me to stay at this hotel. Black mold in the bathroom. Bad neighborhood. Street walkers and homeless people on the corner. Went to McDonald's across the street and when I went to leave the police had the intersection blocked off.
Solo travellers avoid!!!

We stayed here like most, for one night on our way to Yosemite NP. Having checked in, we were ready to check back out after receiving our room key, but decided to stick it out after hours of driving. Our room was of old decor, smelt hideously musty and smokey, and would not pass basic hygiene standards. The throw on the bed was discoloured and had numerous cigarette burns - luckily we were camping in Yosemite so I was able to grab my sleeping bag from the car and sleep in this. We did venture to Denny's next door - and would NOT recommend this to anyone. Like other reviews, we were witness to shady goings on and the adult entertainers lurking outside, we slept with a chair wedged against the door for peace of mind, though this resulted in disturbed sleep. On a positive note breakfast was decent, cereals, fruit, waffles and pastries. We couldn't recommend this motel to anyone, I would be wary for any persons travelling alone here!
OK hotel conveniently off HWY 99

Spent a night at the Executive Inn on the way south off Hwy 99. It is a good idea to have a GPS to help you find it since the road that it is on is right next to an on-ramp to the freeway and one mistake means you have to go a few miles to try again. The hotel itself is definitely older and has two stories. Since it is close to the freeway it is a little noisy. The rooms are large and I had a king bed. The wifi was reasonably fast. There is a Denny's a short walk from the hotel but since the hotel offers a free continental breakfast, I did not stop there. The breakfast, served in room 107, was one of the best things about the hotel and why I gave it an average rating. They had cold cereal, a waffle maker, coffee, juice and milk as well as apples and bananas the day I was there. Read the review entitled "not for the faint-hearted" for more information.
Checked in, then checked straight back out

Checked in, used the wifi to book another hotel and checked straight back out. Didn't even venture into the rooms. The area is extremely poor, the hotel looked dirty and rundown, and a lady in the car park (whilst cutting a hole in the floor of her car) told us not to stay here, so we took her advice and left quickly. Messaged the hotel and was promised a refund, but this has not materialized.
