Horrid, Fleabag Roach Motel

We checked in with a reservation, after a long day's drive, at 10 pm. The lobby was locked and a sign indicated they would be back in 20 minutes. Eventually a man arrived and unlocked the door. He assigned our room which we then drove to, noticing much trash. The room was disgusting, with stained upholstery, broken lamps and tables, stained wallpaper, and roaches. Because it was so late, we decided to stay, after wiping everything down with alcohol and Lysol. First thing in the morning we checked out and cancelled our second night. In forty years of world travel, this was the worst dump I've ever been in. At $61, it wasn't cheap. The derelict property seemed to me to be occupied as a combination homeless shelter and welfare motel. The worst insult was booking this trash pile through Booking.com which advertised a 3-star property and provided enticing pictures showing an upscale property. The photos must have been ten years old. False advertising at its worst and probably actionable; the sort of fraud the FTC investigates. That the Fresno County Health Department allows this health menace to remain open amazes me. I'm pursuing a refund.
Not a bad hotel

Recently stayed here with my wife and two kids for three nights in room 409. The room was very clean, spacious ,and all the amenities in the room worked perfectly. I will admit the TV was a little dated but still had an HDMI input for your electronics etc. There are no usb plug ins so be sure to bring your own adapters and cables . The only other down side is that the microwave is located all the way in lobby and that the pool a jacuzzi were close due to Covid-19 . You get what you pay for ,but be sure to request a room in the back of the hotel on the second story.
Even the homeless have it better

I would not even recommend this dump to a homeless person it’s so bad. My room phone had been RIPPED from the wall and was sitting on a shelf in my closet and the raw wires were dangling out from under the nightstand in the room. The shower had mold in the corner, and the last occupant’s toothbrush spittle was still on my bathroom mirror. The tub drain was rusty and scummy so taking a shower in the morning was frightful. There was no Do Not Disturb in my room nor a hairdryer. I went to the front desk to get both and they only had the sign. The hotel has no hair dryers! My recommendation is avoid this hotel at all costs. If I could give this hotel a negative rating I would!
Great price but don't expect much

Just needed a place to stay to rest before continuing on my trip. All I needed was a nice shower, a comfortable bed, a fridge, a working tv, free wifi and reasonably clean. It almost met that. The tv remote didn't work so after I called the front desk, someone came and replaced the batteries. The wifi never worked - I was told at check-in that it might be off for a while for maintenance (???) but in fact, it never even showed up on my laptop as an available option. I would never stay here again if that becomes repeated but fortunately, I was able to do what I needed on my phone. This is basically a motel (no elevator for the second floor) and it definitely needs updating (wallpaper ugly and peeling, shower walls old and cracked) and some maintenance (dead light bulbs, inoperable smoke detector, etc) but that didn't affect my stay. There is only a microwave in the large lobby and only one ice machine working - even though there are some in other locations. The place is in a quiet location - especially if you stay in the back. The first room we got only had one nightstand lamp working - the other one had the cord cut and the outlet behind the bed was missing and had a blank cover (probably not working) so we asked for a different room. The new room was missing a lamp at the desk so I moved the one from the original room. The rooms have built-in hair dryers though I didn't test. I killed two cockroaches by the refrigerator but fortunately didn't see any others. The dresser drawers were obviously not cleaned because there was small debris in each of them. I probably would stay again only if it has wifi because it was pretty cheap and I was there on business but would caution others to pay a little more if they expect better. Run down, dated and scary

We stayed en route to Yosemite. I wish we had booked a recognised brand. This hotel has large rooms which is about the only good thing about it. We did not feel safe here as the walls were thin, room dirty, there was broken glass everywhere and loud noises in the corridor all night. Additionally we found hairs in the bed and towels and a stain on the sheets that forced us to share a bed. 10-15 years ago this hotel may have been good but now it is definitely not a 3* hotel, I would avoid.
