Another good Christmas break
We visited this hotel 2018 Christmas time and had very strong desire to do it again So, we did it this year ( 2020). We will not repeat previous reviews, as they are similar to our own experience: staff do excellent job to keep all visitors safe and standards on the high level. Whatever we asked, the response was quick and effective. All staff was very friendly, smiling, helpful. Our personal opinion is that it is people, who make you stay comfortable. The location of the beach and possibility of the long walks make this hotel excellent place if you are like to do it. The restaurant staff was working well and keep it clean. The food could be better, but we are not complaining, as there was a lot of sea food, which suit us perfectly! We would like to say big thank you our favourite waiter Jamie, who was looking after us. He is really professional and very good character. Thank you Jamie! It was very quiet in hotel this year ( even in Christmas time), but, counting all Covid issues, we had very good time and wish all hotel staff Very Happy New Year!
Covid Christmas
We stayed here over Christmas 2018 & again Christmas 2020 under the Covid restrictions. It was a different vibe this year with the ever present spectre of Covid. The hotel was under occupied & quite peaceful as a result. The social distancing & hygiene rules were all in place & adhered to with temperature checks being done on everyone who entered the hotel. There were plenty of hand sanitiser stations everywhere & the staff were vigilant .All staff & guests had to wear masks except for eating ,sunbathing on sunbeds & swimming. Some hotel facilities were not available-notably -the spa, coffee bar, Route 66 restaurant & one of the pools. This was a shame but understandable under the pandemic restrictions. Staff worked hard to keep everything clean & safe .Pool Lifeguards ensured the sunbeds were well spaced & they were disinfected when people had used them. One advantage of under occupancy meant that there were no queues for food at mealtimes-tables always immediately availble. As before, the rooms clean & comfortable, plenty of good food & choice of branded drinks at the bars. We did not know what to expect for the Christmas day meal, but although different than our last stay , we cannot fault it -food quality, choice & presentation was superb. Dining room staff were dressed in smart outfits & it was clear that the kitchen staff put hours of work into making the lovely food, which was visually stunning & delicious. Obviously there were some facilities not as advertised in brochures etc., but overall the staff were wonderful & we had a lovely quiet holiday. I hope the H10 Tindaya manages to stay open & return to full operation in the coming year .We would definitely return as we love the hotel's beach location.
Lovely hotel
The hotel was very good, stayed for 9 nights for Christmas period. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the food- it is tasty but very limited and not much variety and very repetitive. We are a couple who don’t have any special requirements and we eat everything however if you do, you will be left disappointed. At the moment due to COVID one restaurant is working only and it is sea food oriented. The bar area only offers some cake, yogurt and fruits. You will not be left hungry but if you stay for longer like us, you might get fed up from the same things. Apart from that everything was great. The bar and the drinks offered are impressive. You don’t get very often quality branded alcohol on all inclusive so hats down for that. The rooms are massive and spotless clean. The sea view from the room is breathtaking. All Staff are nice and professional and the hotel had a great COVID safety measures that everyone follows. The areas are large, there are plenty of sun beds that get disinfected all the time and even though there were people around, it doesn’t get crowded/busy. We felt very safe and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it.
Super break
Have not stayed at H10 Tindaya for a few years. This is a good. Family hotel, if you prefer adult only, you should be looking at H10 Esmeralda (where we usually go where we usually go to but currently closed due to the COVID pandemic). The hotel was comparatively quiet, and a number of facilities closed due to the current crisis. This did not impact too much on our stay or enjoyment. Staff were always pleasant and helpful in every department. Of note was reception being both helpful and thorough. On arrival reception booked us in and also advised us on options we were not aware of which saved us money. We generally felt safer here than in the UK, most people accepting a sensible approach to social distancing etc. On the odd occasion someone forget to put their face mask on in the restaurant staff would discreetly remind them. No fuss. Food was good though they still have a issue with keeping food warm (my grip from previous stays) but tasty. Variety was a bit smaller than in previous years, but totally understandable under the current conditions and reduced customer foot fall. It give the restaurant 4 out of 5, only marked down due to the temp grip above of the food. Rooms were cleaned daily still, but you could opt out. Were well presented and pleasant. Entertainment was on a much lower key than it used to Brie, but not an issue to us. Due to the spike in COVID in the Uk we decided to return a few days early, once again reception came out tops, helping us sort things out and arranging a taxi to the airport. Byanca on reception was superb, a real credit to the H10 group. Very helpful and knowledgable, speaking a number of languages. She is defiantly “employee of the year “ type of person. Tindaya is conveniently located with the town within easy walking distance and on a beautiful Sandy beach.. The hotel is beautifully laid out, but is not totally disabled friendly. While out of their control, access to the beach is via steps that would be a challenge to someone with mobility issues. We have no problem recommending H10 Tindaya as a place to stay!
