More about the hotel
Excellent hotel
We stayed here 7th-14th March on recommendation from a family member and we wasn’t disappointed we had a fantastic holiday. The staff throughout the whole hotel were excellent especially the entertainment team the bar staff and the restaurant staff. The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout I’ve never seen swimming pools look so clean as is every other section of the hotel. If you have children make a trip next door to the sister hotel to use the bowling alley it was brill didn’t realise until our last few days. The beach is brill and there is s lovely park just next to the beach that the kids loved. There was so much for the kids to do, they loved the kids club throughout the day and the entertainment at night, the greatest showman was our favourite! My only recommendation is for the food to be more clearly labelled in the restaurant somethings (like the children’s section) didn’t have any labels on food this could cause concern for anyone with allergies and also create less waste if you knew what you were eating. Overall an excellent holiday we will defiantly return in the future.
Disappointed
Myself and 3 members of my family spent a week here earlier this month. After reading the excellent reviews we were disappointed with the food in comparison to the Sister hotel Playa Gaviotas. The Dining room at Gaviotas Park could also seriously do with an update, the chairs and tables were shabby and the crockery had seen better days a lot if it being chipped or cracked. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely. Our sea view suites were clean but a little shabby, beds were very comfortable. Although we had a small kitchenette in our suite, there was not a kettle or any cups or cooking utensils but we took our own kettle. Entertainment team did a good job and all the children there seemed to be enjoying themselves. We had a massage at the hotel spa, which resulted in heavy bruising and a lot of pain but the cost of my massage was refunded and I was given a pain killing injection by the hotel doctor, free of charge. The highlight of our holiday was feeding the chipmunks down by the beach, they were so friendly, we brought a bag of peanuts in shells from the beach bar.
faultless
there were six of us travelled requiring three rooms, we requested high balconies and rooms that were close to each other, and we were given what we requested. The staff were excellent and friendly from the cleaners to the waiting staff always smiling and nothing to much of a problem. Food to die for, so much choice and again everything served as you wished by a smiling face. Entertainment on an evening was excellent, with the entertainment staff always on hand during the day. Rooms and the public area's were spotless and constantly being cleaned. Would we go again definitely.
6 day break
A friend and I booked a short break here in Febrhary 2020. What a fantastic resort hotel. We booked all inclusive and quite honestly did not need to spend another penny. The meals were superb. Drinks on hand from breakfast through to midnight. There are 3 hotels in this brand next to each other. Be aware this is a family style resort hotel so caters for children of all ages quite adequately with plenty of pools to dip into. We visited in term time so was nice and quite but I would guess in holiday times it would be very busy with families. The surrounds are quite splendid in the resort itself. The sea is a short walk with lovely a sandy beach and with life guards to watch over. A 45 minute walk will bring you into the busy seafront markets, bars and restaurants. There is a bus service running from the hotel along with taxis at 4 Euros cost each way. If your looking for a short break I would highly recommend this hotel but avoid school holidays unless you have are looking for a family holiday then if so go for it. We will definitely return and look forward to taking my grandchildren there.
Nice break but wouldnt class hotel as 4*
So we visted over the February half term with family. They have been 4x to this hotel, this was our first. Hotel was nice and grounds beautiful. Rooms lovely too I would say the downsides are.. No a la carte restaurants. Normally going AI, you have a choice of other restaurants to eat. The food in the dining area was nice but very repetitive. The entertainment was poor, we never heard if the activites were going on. I think there should be a speaker announcement. One of the pools were freezing cold and the heated pool wasnt that warm! Overall it was nice but i wouldnt go back
