We love this hotel. That was why we booked it a 2nd time. The views are unreal. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms have been done up and very nice. The beds are comfortable and the toiletries top quality. Breakfast was very nice. The hotel is not near enough anywhere to walk at night so we got the bus to the nearest village for dinner the 2nd night. We were told we couldn't reserve a table in the bar for the music but it was very disappointing when we arrived back well before the music started to not only be told there was no tables available in the bar but no tables available the lobby so we had no choice but to go to bed at 9.30. The bus is every 1.5 hours apart and because there was 5 of us the front desk said it would mean 2 taxis and last time we stayed here because the taxi was coming from Galway they changed us €10 for each taxi before we went anywhere. I pleaded my case that night and again the next morning with no great outcome. Very disappointed.
The Best Wedding Location

Myself and my husband Niall got married in the Connemara Coast Hotel (CCH) on October 22nd, 2021. It really was one of the best and happiest days of our lives and a huge part of that was down to the hotel and staff at the CCH. We met with Chloe, the wedding coordinator, for the first time back in September 2020 and at the time we were actually 90% set on another hotel for our big day. Our minds were quickly changed, and we were delighted to book our big day with Chloe and her team at the hotel. Chloe was brilliant to work with in the run up to the wedding and as we planned out the finer details, there was no request that was too big or too small. There was nothing stressful about any of it and we really enjoyed working with Chloe as we planned it all out. The day itself went so much smoother than I ever could have anticipated. Again, Chloe, Johnathan (the General Manager) and their team were on hand and looked after us and our guests so well. The main comments we got from guests after the wedding was 1) How amazing the hotel was, including the rooms, the ballroom and the setting (AMAZING Views from the Ballroom!) 2) How good the food was on the day of the wedding and over the course of the weekend, and 3) How helpful and friendly the staff were. We agree wholeheartedly with all of these comments and further want to add how incredible the staff were. From Chloe to Johnathan, Anne at Reception (who was always so warm, friendly and welcoming), Ranko, Mark, Alan the chef, to name a few, and all of the catering, restaurant and bar staff, everyone there is such a credit to the hotel and really made the weekend special for us. The rooms in the hotel were all recently refurbished and were really comfortable. Again, all of our family and friends had nothing but good things to say. The bridal suite is out of this world, we didn’t want to leave it!! And really close to the ballroom so we didn’t have long corridors and hallways to find our way back at the end of the night. The hotel has some lovely seating areas around the reception and upstairs that provide a really comfortable space for people to relax. We found that over the course of the weekend our guests really enjoyed using these spaces to chat and relax. We also found that a lot of our guests made use of the leisure centre in the hotel the day after the wedding, including the outdoor hot tub, again with some amazing views. Some of our guests also then enjoyed making their way down to the waters edge behind the hotel or made the short spin up to Furbo beach. Although I hate to bring up Covid in such a positive review I do have to note that we were incredibly fortunate that none of our guests got covid after the wedding. While there are obviously a number of reasons why, one of the contributing factors to this has to have been down to the cleanliness of the hotel and yet another compliment is needed to go out to the staff in the hotel responsible for maintaining this level to cleanliness. We have some great memories of our wedding weekend at the Connemara Coast Hotel. My husband Niall and I will be back to the hotel, as will a lot of our guests in the future. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a venue. It truly has it all.

Very welcoming, staff were extremely pleasant & helpful throughout our stay. Only criticism is the food could be better quality, it was cooked perfectly but overall standard wasn't great when compared to nearby restaurants. Would be happy to return at any stage and will recommend to others.

First visit to this Hotel. We had a 2 night stay and I would highly recommend a visit. Our room was perfect, clean, comfortable and well presented. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night and in the bar the second night, both nights we had excellent service and really enjoyed the food. We found the staff friendly and professional. The grounds around the hotel have plenty of outdoor seating areas with views of the coast. There is a nice short walk down to the coast. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for our experience of The Conemara Coast Hotel.
Very disappointing visit.

I have just returned from a very disappointing 2 night stay in the Connemara Coast Hotel. While the location of the hotel is stunning and the bed rooms are lovely, the standard of service in relation to food and beverages is very much below standard. On the day I arrived I ordered lunch from the bar, the beetroot burger was listed to be served on a brioche bun but came with an ordinary bun. This was served with a handful of frozen chips. A member of staff later confirmed that the burger was also from the freezer. Presentation was poor with no garnish present on the plate. The cost of this was 14 50. I can honestly say I have had better food in McDonalds. The wine served was not chilled enough and ice cubes had to be added. The waitress had to be asked on two occasions to advise the chef about the brioche bun. She then advised that they had run out and had to go to the shop to get burger buns. This I was told later to be untrue. On a second occasion 3 teas one sandwich and a portion of chips were ordered. It took 5 trips by 4 different staff to deliver the full order to the table over a period of 30 minutes. At this point no milk had come for the tea and as a result the tea was cold. This was witnessed by the Manager. Requests had to be made for tables to be cleared and wiped down. There was clear evidence that the staff were not trained. When I complained to the manager he did take all the comments on board and gave me the opportunity to talk to the chef who advised that he is very recently in the job and is trying to improve the standard. However even after talking to the Manager I did feel that while he appeared to take the comments on board and after seeing first hand what had happened he made no attempt himself to provide a good example of good customer service. He did not at any stage offer or arrange for a staff member to bring hot tea to us dezpite seeing what had happened. In my opinion actions speak louder than words. If the manager does not look after residents why would the staff. As they say lead by example. I can honestly say I will never return to this hotel. There are much better hotels in Galway. Such a pity as the location is lovely.
