We've been recently staying at the Element, and after staying here I'm totally leaning away from the Residence Inn and the Courtyard chains. This hotel was quite expensive for a budget brand ($170 + tax etc) and it was just ok. Breakfast was so disappointing. Very industrial - Sarah Leigh muffins in packages, Sugary Dannon yoghurt...I can't remember why I was so unimpressed with the breakfast choices It may have been the baked scrambled egg in a pan ...but after staying at the Element in Jacksonville ($70 less per night) and getting freshly made egg tacos with avocado, or a fresh fried egg with French Toast in Orlando, Residence Inn has to up their game. I chose this location due how close it was to 75 - I would definitely drive 5 more minutes into Gainesville and get a cheaper better hotel. Staff were super friendly - that was a positive.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's close to 1-75 without the traffic noise, and there are plenty of stores and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. As for the property itself .... meh. I had a one bedroom suite which felt a lot smaller than their studio suites. It was also dark - not enough lights in the room. The bed and pillows were comfortable and there was plenty of hanging and drawer space. Living area seating was not particularly comfortable and the long empty hallway into the room seemed like wasted space. Breakfast was ok. Staff not particularly welcoming or friendly. I would choose somewhere else next time.

What a breath of fresh air!!! Service and comfort are top notch. Cleanliness 4 1/2 out of 5 (bathroom baseboards needed a bit of attention). We have stay in a few places very recently from high end (a disappointment) to a sad, sad, sad hotel. This was definitely an unexpected pleasurable place to stay!!!!!
Super clean and Friendly

We have stayed at a lot of properties over the last year, and between the pandemic and the hiring crisis, have had a wide range of experiences. This Residence Inn 2 bedroom unit was the cleanest room we’ve had - completely immaculate - and the front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. Will absolutely stay here again.
THANK YOU, KATINA AND TYLER...!!!

Special thanks to Katina on the Front Desk for getting us a bit early – even though the hotel was sold-out the night before and there were all kinds of check-outs. We so appreciated her efforts at making it happen. And also to GM Tyler for the Titanium upgraded room – a 2-Bedroom/2-Bath with tubs and screened windows that open for a breeze. The fitness room has a water-dispenser, scale and free weights (though, oddly, missing the 15-pounders)… the laundry room is clean and operational… and the Grab ‘n Go breakfast included yogurts, milk cartons, apples and bananas, sweet rolls, protein bars and hot egg/sausage sandwiches served by yet another friendly staffer. Good show, GM Tyler!
