Depressing stay.
BEWARE. Palazzo is a very abused word. This is just a house and an ugly badly renovated one at that. It is dirty the beds are lumpy and the rubber pillows stink. There is a once grand sitting area but the rest is just poor. Floors so grimy you stick to them. Rooms without windows. Lobby without lights. Staff are rude & clueless.
A touch of elegance
Fantastic location in the old town of Gallipoli, short walk to the car park at the port and to all shops, restaurants and the town beach. Accommodation is spacious and has excellent communal areas, including a palatial lounge and breakfast room / terrace on the top floor. The breakfast is well worth the 7 EUR and has an amazing choice.
Pico Bello
We came to Puglia, obviously for the food & wine, duh. But we wanted to stay only for one night, but it became 3. It is such a lovely place and the B&B was great! We enjoyed our stay here very much, we didn't had breakfast so I don't know how it is, but they have planty of bakery's, were you can have a nice croissant and a coffee on the way to the beach. Only the receptionist was talking English, the rest wasn't so easy to have a conversation with.
Sweet palace in a charming city
We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments. The place is clean and the receptionist, although only in, in the afternoon was polite and helpful. only drawback is that there is no breakfast served, although to be honest, there are many places to chose from in close proximity to it. There are also many restaurants in the area. We visited a couple for dinner, as we were driving around the area during the day. Overall a very good experience.
Nice typical hotel but lack of service
We stayed there for 2 days and found this place very charming with a good location in the historic center. However we were surprised by the lack of service, nobody to welcome us in the morning, towel change every 4 days for a seaside place, no shower gel the next day, breakfast not included for a quite expensive hotel... Also the room and bathroom was rather small although nice. We have stayed in cheaper places in Puglia with better service so I would advice to improve the service a bit to make this place ideal on all levels not only location wise. Best, Laetitia & Harry
