Very bad service. Nothing works and they have no contingency plan for power outage.

Do not stay there. Services are very poor for what i paid ($380/day). The rom is not clean, it smells bad, the faucet has a bad smell and mold is all over the drain. The pool hot Tub does not work and it seems to leek gas. The breakfast is cereals if the power is out. The helpdesk is none existent and very rude. The TV remote does not work in the room unless you stand right next to the tv and point to the router hidden behind the tv stand. no backup generator, We had to go up 4 and down four staircases during power outage for not having a backup generators. Overall, for the money I paid it's no way near my expectations, this place does not resemble in anyway or form to normal Best Western hotels.

SO DISAPPOINTING for such a good location!

This property has ocean view rooms with a small balcony, which makes for a great location on the quieter W end of the seawall. Unfortunately, we got the feeling that the owner/management knows this and is not really interested in providing the quality stay that we have come to know with the the three chains we frequent all over the U.S., one being BW. We had a NON-refundable reservation for a king room, again all are advertised ocean front, and it was noted as such on the guaranteed reservation. We arrived about 4:30 with check in starting at 4:00. We were told our room is not available, which was the first red flag as they would received there money on a non-refundable reservation even if we were no shows. We are offered an obstructed king (only three left) or queen room with ocean view. We took the queen since we needed a room, although we did not need two beds. We check in and go to our room. I check my BW ap and see that they are still accepting reservations for king rooms for that same evening all indicate ocean view. Hmmm! We have never had this happen where our room was not available, that is why people make reservations to secure their stay. We later find out that guests from the previous night were allowed to pay an extra fee to secure a very late check-out, so they may enjoy the beach another day. Ok, no problem if there are extra rooms and you have already reserved the rooms for your incoming guests with PAID reservations who can check in at 4PM. I am sure most of us have asked for a later check out at times and have been told either no problem to stay (for no extra charge) or sorry, we are booked and have guests already assigned to your room. In addition, we heard one guest checking out after 4:30 inquiring why there was an extra charge on her bill. She was told it was for requesting late check out. The impression was this property is all about making money without offering the services. They give later check out for a "fee" that you may or may not be aware of when requested. We felt that our room was either not cleaned yet since people were still checking out, swimming, going to their cars and packing up when we were checking in at 4:30PM. Also, there were sheets sitting out in the hallways where rooms had still not been cleaned even after 5 - 6PM. It also appeared our non-refundable room we got a deal on due to being Rewards BW members was possibly sold to someone else for a higher rate and then they put us in a queen room, because that is what they had. The entire thing was very odd and only the beginning ... I should have taken note of other reviews of this property, but didn't think it could be that bad. Well, don't assume that your room will have functioning air conditioning as it was basically a very loud fan/blower that ran 24/7 heard in the room and on the balcony, but never, ever cooled the room. The temp stayed at a constant 75-76 no matter what you set the thermostat on and the high outside was only 83. The temp, stale, humid air blowing inside made for a very restless sleep and the smell and humidity cannot be good for anyone with sinuses, allergies or sensitivity to mold, etc... When we went down to tell the desk clerk another person was there complaining of the same issue. Anyone who asked was being told their A/C guy had check it and the A/C was working. That was not true and we were not the only ones frustrated at this point. We decided not to let it ruin our getaway and just dealt with it by getting our own fan to plug in and use in our room all night and when we were there during the day. When we checked out the other clerk said "oh, we could have checked the air for you." A little too late! The shower's water pressure was horrible, barely enough to rinse off (to cool off due to no A/C) and don't think about washing your hair if it is thick, because you will never get the soap out. Breakfast was fair and included, biscuits were very good, staff there helpful and the rest average. Cleaning staff was courteous and helpful when we needed tissues, etc... but I felt sorry for them having to work in these conditions as the rooms and corridors were miserably warm. The only cool, comfy air we felt was in the lobby. Unfortunately, I believe there is either a total lack of training for the employees on the logistics and organization needed to balance reservations or it appeared the intent was to make more money with the extra fees, offering up the already reserved rooms at a higher price to "walk-ins" who needed a room and would pay whatever along with cutting costs with little to no A/C or water pressure. We will not be staying at this location again and cannot recommend it to anyone. The location will probably keep this hotel in business, but I feel sorry for the employees and guests who have to deal with this type of management and the perceived lack of concern or regard for their patrons. Something seems not right here and the guests are literally "paying the price" for poor accommodations when most save their money to come enjoy a vacation only to have a bad experience. P.S. Registered and have the ap to do contact-less check in and keyless entry off my phone only to be told when we arrived that they don't offer that service. Online check in is so easy, but then I would have known ahead of time that our non-refundable, guaranteed room was unavailable. I do this for other locations and chains with ease, but nothing at this hotel was easy.

The front desk staff who greeted us was awesome, she was friendly, had a sense of humor and checked us in with ease. The room was very clean, loved the balcony, good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. Already recommended to friends,

Ok stay but needs work

Hotel was in great location needs to be a little cleaner abs they need a better staff. The manager was the only staff that was courteous abs helpful. The rooms and beds were terrible. The shower door and faucet were broken. The hair dryer was busted and half the plugs didn't work. Breakfast was nasty and their coffee machine worked half the time.

Disappointed in our stay

We have stayed in many hotels coast to coast and have not been impressed with this one. We checked into our first room and not only was the air conditioning not operating correctly the fridge was not cooling and the tv had issues. The room was dirty including hair on the walls in the shower and your feet were black just from walking around in the room. On our first night we were moved to another room on the same floor but again have had the same issues with the air conditioning and the temp would not get below 75 in the room. We were instructed to turn the thermostat all the way down to 60 and see if that would help, and it did not. We asked if there was another room that was available to move to but when they showed me that room it was the same issue where they had the thermostat turned all the way down but it was still not cool in there. While the 5th floor might have the best view I am going to assume that those rooms are the hottest on the top floor. This room was also not as clean as it could have been causing black feet and the toilet seat was broken as well as very low water pressure in the shower. The girls at the front desk have tried to be helpful and accommodating as well as sending maintenance to look at the air and giving us a fan to help with cooling the room. I should note it is only in the mid 80’s outside so I bet mid summer is fun up on the 5th.
