Stop Following Me!
The kind of hotel room that you don't want to take your socks off when walking around. Furnishings, bedspread, carpet were tired and worn out, and not very clean. I did not feel safe here, characters hanging outside, keep my valuables and laptop locked up in trunk of car. Had to use my phone hotspot to connect to internet. I was in Galveston for work and wanted a cheaper place to stay. Everytime I would go to my car a little Indian lady would pop up behind me and would keep walking by my room and looking in my window. Finally I asked her, what do you want? She would not answer, just walk away. Much better places than this for the price.
No parking
Rooms are older and hot. The parking is not there to support the rooms they have to rent. We drove all day to get there and no where to park. The office said im sorry this happens. Nothing they can do, suggested us to sit and wait for a spot to open. It is 90 degrees in galveston and no way to get in our room. Be aware of this before spending your money here.
Great location and price point was fantastic
So we decided to visit on a whim without any plans to be in Galveston. We wanted near the beach and we just needed a bed to sleep on. All those things Knights Inn did 100%. The place is older but it was sufficiently clean to know that people cared. It is literally across the sidewalk from the beach so I can certainly overlook sand in the nooks and crannies! Showers were hot and linens were clean. The motel is older but location seemed safe. I don't need some cookie cutter spotless location to enjoy the area. I would stay here again.
Worst Hotel Ever
Let's start with the pluses. Across from beach just walk across the street and the beach is there. Dining is walking distance, but its is pricey. We were supposed to have 2 king sized beds. What had were 2 twin size beds for 2 adults and 3 kids. These beds were hard as rocks. The internet was spotty at best. Was not worth the price. Do not stay here.
Not Good
The only redeeming quality of this room was its location on the beach. Room smelled strongly of cat urine. I suspect our room had been used previously to make methamphetamine, as in addition to the odor, there were acid burns in the shower. Staff was not too receptive to my complaint, but said they would tell the owner. Room was pretty small, and was not super clean, either, but no insects were found. AC worked well. My partner stayed at a Knights Inn in another city and said it was no better. We will not stay at a Knights Inn again.
