I rarely leave a poor rating, but I feel that we must warn others to not go to this hotel. A total refurbishment is needed, the rooms don't look just tired, they are exhausted. Our concern started when we entered the room and there was a sign saying 'no in-room safe available, we recommend that you leave any valuables with the desk to be placed in the hotel safe.' I get that not every hotel will offer an in-room safe, but it was like shouting "your valuables will not be safe here, don't trust our staff, carry valuables with you at all times!" The staff were kind and it is a good location, but we won't be returning.

Great location, facilities average.

The hotel is at a great location, right at the beginning of the Latin quarter and the pedestrian streets. The parking is at an adjacent building, my only comment is that walking from parking to the hotel, there is a stair with no ramp. The bathroom was very cold compared with the rooms. There were issues at check in time, they gave me a room which was not ready and had several issues with the access keys of the second room they gave me after the issue was found with the first one. Staf was good, bar was nice.

Appalling Service

We will NEVER stay at this hotel again, barman was the rudest man Ive met , has a serious attitude problem. No Christmas atmosphere and no customers in the bar (not surprised) Do not stay in this hotel with kids. So over priced .

Perfect honeymoon Christmas weekend!
Reviewed 28 december, 2022
My husband and I stayed here over Christmas for the first leg of our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it. We had an Executive King room which much larger than I expected, with an awesome view of the water. The hotel is situated right at the top of Quay Street - we could walk everywhere! The attached car park was small but adequate. The staff was friendly and happy to see us, even on Christmas weekend. We had Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch and everything was delicious. The bar stayed open until 11pm on Christmas Day (wow!) and we enjoyed some beers and got to know some of the other guests. For the price we paid and on a major holiday, we were very impressed.

Wait Until Renovations Are Done
Reviewed 27 december, 2022
I am sure this hotel will be amazing what the new owners finish the renovations. Currently, it clearly has not seen maintenance for over a decade. Smells everywhere. Shabby rooms. Noise everywhere. Food subpar. Parking nearby but this is public parking and not connected to hotel. One has to traverse many steps both down and up to get from garage to hotel lobby. And don't expect any bellman to help. There are none. The only thing is location, location, location. But too many other choices nearby and for less money. Service and construction use the same elevator as guests.
