Mediocre at best

We stayed at river terrace for 3 nights on a long weekend to Gatlinburg. Check in was easy, lobby was super nice and updated, however when we got to the room it was definitely a let down. I've definitely stayed at worse locations but given the original cost of this place I was expecting much more. Luckily I booked this on hotels.com and paid around $50/night but average cost I saw on other places was $200-$300/night and it's not even remotely worth that. Room was clean for the most part, but extremely run down. Bed was comfortable, balcony was nice to have but we just had a view of the parking lot. Honestly the biggest selling feature of this place was location, location, location. We parked at the hotel and left the car parked and walked everywhere. We could be at most anywhere on the strip within 10-15 minutes walking. There was no wifi, which would've been nice to have and water pressure was non existent. I would stay here again if I was able to get the discount rate but definitely not if paying full price.

This is a hotel not a resort don’t be fooled

The only thing that can be said that is positive is the location. Other than that, there is no Wi-Fi which it said it had, our bathroom smelled like weed when we came in, the shower drains clogged so you can shower in a lake, a restaurant that is in front that is closed for renovations need I go on? I’ve only been here one night and I couldn’t wait to write a review on this disaster of a room. I hope that the stay gets better and I can make a change to this review.

Weekend getaway

We have stayed at this location in the past and have always enjoyed our stay. This trip we decided to take a gamble with Hotwire and were happy to find our assigned hotel was River Terrace Resort. Check in was a breeze and Donna H. was wonderful. She checked in with us periodically throughout our stay to see how we were doing. Amazing customer service. We were happy to get a large room with a beautiful mountain view. The bed was comfortable , room was clean , the room came with a microwave and mini fridge. Everything is within walking range to the hotel. There is a heated pool and a regular pool which is nice. We will defiantly be staying here again in the future.

Great stay

This is the second time my wife and myself have stayed here and each time is better than the last. Room was very nice and clean, easy access to the pool and super easy to walk to down. The staff is always very friendly. We usually stay here and one other place when we come to Tennessee but this one is becoming the favorite. Prices are very reasonable.

Enjoyed our stay

Old but roomy with good TV and comfortable bed, nice and quiet with hardly a peep from other guest. Easy access to 441 Parkway and close to Sky Lift. Of special note: look for Tennessee Jeds cafe for great breakfast and lunch sandwich’s. Hotel restaurant was not opened for our stay.
