More about the hotel
Will never stay again!!!
The room was falling apart and there were stains all over ceiling in bathroom. There was garbage under the bed and the box springs and mattress were covered in stains. Toilet didn’t flush and I had to pee in the bathtub which also didn’t drain. Toiletries were non existent with one towel. Heater wouldn’t shut off and air conditioner wouldn’t turn on. Neighbors watched me through windows and I did not feel safe for myself or my car. Front desk lady/manager was very rude. DO NOT STAY HERE! very overpriced.
Best value.... for the owner
The front desk is very friendly, but once we got to our room, it was very old. The AC leaked into the wall (the plaster was bowed and peeled) which may be why the carpet was wet, not sure if it was that or the fridge. The bathroom is very old and we decided not to shower there because of this. One outlet didn’t work. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Glad we were only staying one night while in town, definitely not a room to hang out in. I did see a small picnic area with campsite style grills. The breakfast was minimal in the front office building which had a funny smell and the TV in the breakfast area didn’t turn on.
Too Expensive
We have stayed at $99 a night Holiday Inns that were a 100x better and cleaner. There was trash in our room. It was a non-smoking room too and it stank of cigarette smoke. Bathroom was dirty. Ironing board was flimsy and dirty. We had no choice to stay there as all the other hotels were booked.
scary and mold filled hotel
How this place can be operating as a hotel is beyond me. My son booked a room here for him, myself and my daughter to celebrate my birthday. He obviouly does not read reviews. My daughter and I arrived first and the property is very decrepit and looks like something out of a 1950's horror movie. We noticed a large amount of children and adults hanging around and they did not look like hotel guests. We went to our room and on the way there werew immediatley overcome by the very pronounced stench of mold. I amn a health care provider and I know what mold smells like. The room was very dated. The photos lie and the hotel has a DUTY to tell patrons they will be sharing space with homeless families. We left and found another place to stay but this hotel has no business being in business for hotle patrons. We live 6 hours away and had no way of knowing that this is a homelss shelter backup. I am sure many of the people here are very nice but when I am on vacation I expect a clean and mold free environment. This hotel needs to be off of all websites as it is not fair to paying customers. We were told at the visitor's center that there are drug problems there as well. How can this place advertise itself as a suitable palce to stay for travelers. We ended up spening more money but we felt safe and did not breath in mold. I feel sorry for the children and families stuck here as their lungs are being damaged. Please DO NOT come here. (I have many reviews here and my only negative ones involve safety issues).
Mediocre
Had to reconnect the toilet flush lever...refridgerator did not work.. and the attenedant had to come replace batteries in the door card key device for us to get in the room. At the continental breakfast we had to wait while coffee was made although it started at 7 am. and we came at 8 am.
