We’ll equipped room, fresh and good breakfast, nice Italian inspired restaurant. Best of all is the very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel for business or leisure if visiting the area.

Great stay at Mercure Gerlingen

I booked the hotel for myself and a few friends and we were all completely satisfied with our stay. Very rarely have I slept this well in a hotel - the beds deserve a 5 star rating! Also talked to the GM, Mr. Bojar, and several front office / service employees and everybody was super friendly, helpful and professional. If your ever in the area or have business in and around Stuttgart, I can highly reccomend staying here! Thanks to the team @Mercure Gerlingen for a perfect stay!

Avoid this hotel

It is difficult for me to write a negative review, but the hotel overcharged me and refuses to provide an accurate breakdown of the costs. I have tried on multiple occasions to get a breakdown of my bill from the hotel, as I was charged more than what was on my original confirmation email. Instead of helping, they insist what they charged me is correct, but yet cannot match the pricing provided on the confirmation email. Additionally, please note that they charge for parking even though this hotel is well outside the city center. This has been a comment in other reviews as well. Also, I cannot imagine staying here without air conditioning during the summer. It was hot in my room in April! Please avoid this hotel. There are other options in the area that are nicer, within the charming town of Gerlingen (this hotel is outside the city centre) and with more access to restaurants and shops.

Barely Acceptable and Overpriced

The first thing that strikes u when you enter the room here is why is it so small in here? The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, its not like the real estate is expensive. The furniture sticks out into the doorway and you bump into it when you enter. In the US this would never be allowed. It’s an unsafe entryway. The shower stall is so small that you cant wash yourself without bumping into the shower walls. What the hell is going on with these Mercure people? This isn’t downtown Paris or Tokyo. It’s Gerlingen for god sake. The value returned for your money here is poor. The Movempick at the airport is a MUCH better choice.

Good for a short business stay

Clean, with the basic necessary facilities. The standard double room is spacious, has a free minibar with water and 2 other drinks, coffee, tea, toiletries. The room was quiet, clean, hard bed. Breakfast was very good, cold and warm options. The hotel provides underground parking as well. Next door there is a sport club and an Italian restaurant. I would stay here again if returning for business in this area.
