Don't stay in room 104

Reviewed 13 september, 2022

Room was small and stuffy, there was no air flow in the room whatsoever. You could barely open the one window due to a restricter so made for an uncomfortable night sleep along with the bad mattress. When asked for an extra pillow I was told it depends if the cleaner has any spare. They did not. Had to go down and ask for towels as there wasn't any in the room. You had to turn the tv off at the wall as the remote didn't work but it could turn it on. I asked for a fan due to the room being so warm and was given a heater with a poor to non existent 'cool air' function so was pretty pointless. Only positive was the shower and its a short walk from the subway station so it is easy to get around the city but would recommend asking for a different room if you end up staying here as I know my parents had to stay here due to their flight being cancelled last minute and they had a much nicer room. Don't bother with breakfast being included - get out into the city as there are plenty of great places.

Amazing service from William

Reviewed 7 september, 2022

The room was clean and fit for purpose. Food was a let down unfortunately, undercooked fish, and breakfast was underwhelming, watery eggs and overcooked bacon. The place needs a make over definitely, dark and gloomy. The service however was spot on, especially William who seamlessly managing the bar and restaurant on his own, with a smile and couldn't do enough for you. Thanks William.

Tired hotel and needs a makeover in all areas

Reviewed 4 september, 2022

Not value for money and definitely overpriced. Room was tired and needed modernising. The lighting was full and resembles that of a birthday candle. The tv was poor and various channels unavailable. Bed was uncomfortable. Standard hotel set up with 2 singles joined but with a shoddy mattress topper to bridge the gap. Also, very old mattresses. If you’re a fan of music, the sound of the springs longing as you move might be right up your street, otherwise it’s an uncomfortable and loud nights sleep. The one thing that was hot was the shower. Good pressure and hot. Just could have done with a clean. Breakfast included in my rate and was a standard buffet. Selection wasn’t huge but ok.

Awful. If I could rate it in the minus, I would.

definitely would never go back to this hotel. 2 rooms at the cost of £400 for 1 night(breakfast not included. which to be fair wasn't a bad thing considering the overall cleanliness of their rooms. id dread to see what their cooking ststions were like. so we dodged a bullet there) and when we got into the rooms 1 room stunk of stale smoke, skirting boards were rotten, cracked paint and mouldy plaster in the bathroom and a sink that blocked every time you turned the tap on. Their solution to the smell was to spray a bit of air freshner. The second room had facial hair all over the sink. After an apparent "investigation" and in a reply to a review my partner left, they decided to blame the facial hair in the sink on me. Insinuating I'd been in somebody else's room, taken a shave and left my hair in the sink. 1. I never went into the room 2. the hair was a completely different colour to my hair. The hair was removed eventually. Only to come back everytime the tap was turned on. After asking who it was who took it upon themselves to lie about the facial hair..we were told their social media was run by another company. we found this company(based in Thailand) it was not them. It turns out it was actually someone from their own head office. Someone who was not present at the hotel, had noted any of us in person and knew nothing about the problems. Which leads me to believe that their hotel staff who were there have lied to deflect from just how bad their rooms where. I'm still waiting on a reply. I won't hold my breath. Although, that is what you have to do when you walk

Really Awful

Reviewed 26 august, 2022

This is quite honestly one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. Save your money and go elsewhere. When we arrived we got given our keys and briefly told where to find our room which was fine. When we got to the room we could not believe the state it was in. The bathroom roof was absolutely covered in mould!! To say it was a health hazard is an understatement. There was also mould behind the curtains near the windows. To make this even worse, I have just read a review further down from earlier this year that also found mould all over the bathroom ceiling. The fact this has already happened to a previous customer and they are still sending people into these rooms is shocking!! If a large amount of mould wasn't enough there were also large unknown stains all over the carpet and the rest of the room was very tired. There were also bugs in the bathroom and a chip in the sink. Overall it was just unhygienic and not at all what we paid for. Not to mention we paid a lot for one night in this room. An absolute rip-off considering what we received, to be honest. In fairness to the hotel, when we went to complain they did find us another room to stay in however the manager hardly had any apology. The new room we received was a bit smaller however, even in this room, the bin was broken and the shelf was hanging off the wall. It also had a tray for coffee but no kettle or hairdryer. The bed was also super uncomfortable. We felt like we could feel every spring in our back and the room was extremely hot with no way to control the temperature. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the hotel. We didn't sleep at all. We had kind of given up at this point. I questioned the room sizes and if there was a price difference for the smaller room but was told they didn't know how to explain it. Overall, the experience was very poor and we wouldn't stay here ever again. Spend your money elsewhere. We were put in a room filled with mould etc and weren't even offered a partial refund. Considering how much they hiked up the price for that one night I find it ridiculous they didn't off any kind of discount on our room after what we discovered. Don't stay here.
