Trying something new
Travelling in the area we decided to try this lodge instead of regular hotels. It is a nice place looks just like the pictures you see. It is like a skies lodge with a very large common room. Individual rooms are small but works. No TV but there is wifi. Two wooden straight back chairs. Not comfortable but the idea is you would you the common room to enjoy better more comfortable sofas and arm chairs. Something that is not mentioned in some write ups about this place is you are travelling almost 4km on gravel road. There is no restaurant or grocery store around so make sure you eat and bring any food you want before you hunker down for the night. I liked the place. The reception was very pleasant. It is a clean facility but it is out of the way, close to nature and rustic.
Cozy lodge close to town
The new owner, Janice, was lovely. We arrived late after a long journey and she made camomile tea for us. The lodge is full of character and quite, nestled in the woods. Breakfast is simple with oatmeal, toast, boiled egg, fruit and yogurt. Can recommend!
Best stay in Canada!!!
Dear Yoke and Hoe and all the staffs in Alpine, I would like to extend my THANKS to ur warm and friendly hosting. Me and my husband have the best ever stay in Canada! We travel almost half of Canada and stay in many lodges before! This is the best ever stay we have, the scenery is breathtaking and the hosts are v caring and friendly! This is like a second home to us, we will definitely come back again for our third stay! Greatly appreciate it! Definitely a place to visit and stay! Thank you, greatly appreciate! With love and hugs! Lina Lee Singapore
Gorgeous view ! Great Stay !
The place is surprisingly large & homely. My wife and I are really impressed with the ambiance and coziness of the common place. We could just rest at the fireplace and enjoyed the peace & tranquility of the mountains. An unforgettable experience !!! The hosts are friendly and very accommodating to our every requests. The room is very clean and tidy. The breakfast place is cosy and homely.
Not worth it.
Badly run by a inexperienced couple. Like going to a monastery. No coffee, no pop machine no snacks available only water for $4. Worst stay in a BB, motel or hotel in my life. Interior is clean and QUIET, exterior is very run down. Great view, this could be a wonderful retreat if run by qualified staff. Breakfast is toast and cereal. This is not a place where a short drive or walk brings you to a place where food or drink can be bought. Isolated by a bad gravel road far removed from any amenities.
