BEST HOTEL IN GRAND JUNCTION
Reviewed 23 january, 2023
May I say that this is our new favorite hotel in the GJ area and the staff was maybe the best we have ever had I am the GM of a major resort an understand customer service 101. Just so you know Amanda at the front desk is amazing and we will always make this our new home away from home. Kevin & Leslie Glenwood Springs

Fantastic Hotel!

Wow!! Upon entry staff was welcoming and very attentive. This hotel was exceptionally clean and maintained friendly, helpful, and courteous staff. They quickly provided me with extra pillows for comfort (post-surgery) and asked me daily how I was doing. The breakfast bar was your typical fare (decent!) and had a novel touch-less pancake maker. The beds, linens and room features were very comfortable. The lobby was great for my teen with a PacMan arcade machine and a pool table. The decor is bright and welcoming and was enjoyed. They also maintained an outdoor propane fire pit that was nice to sit by in the chilly evenings. You will be pleased - access to downtown shops and restaurants is a nice stroll (enjoy the Art on the Corner projects).

Awful customer service

Refrigerator broken. Exception was higher for price. No one seemed to care. Hard beds and loads of disrespect from staff. A simple correction would be "I am sorry. How can I help?" Or just I am sorry that happened.

CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN

This hotel feels as if it may be targeting a younger traveling crowd. It is well designed, the lobby offers pool table and other games, it is quite a pleasant space. The breakfast area is nicely arranged and offers acceptable food. The rooms are functional but may need additional light for using a laptop or for reading an acctual book. It is well located if you are traveling Amtrak or if you wish to experience downtown Grand Junction.

Snazzy Modern Design in Public Spaces, Rooms Just OK
Reviewed 1 october, 2022
I have to say that the entrance to the Tru here in lively downtown Grand Junction was pretty impressive. Really good, walkable location to get everywhere interesting. Great design, lots of color, interesting lodging with a considerable amount of activity evident among guests who were seemingly very active (bringing in their bikes, for example) and maybe younger than those you might see in other more traditional Hilton style-lines such as the Hampton Inn & Suites. We enjoyed the overall ambience, and the service was fine too, but our room seemed on the small side and not all that comfortable. I noted a lot of hard edges, modern yes, but on the other hand sometimes looking a little (for lack of a better word) industrial. To each, his or her own taste. As for mine, I could do with a little less flash and a little more traditional (soft, comfortable) design. That said, I'd be happy to say again at a Tru by Hilton to see how this place -- the first we've been to -- compares with others in this interesting new line.
