A Great Hotel, But Wi-Fi Is Very Slow

We stayed here for 4 nights during Thanksgiving week. This hotel is conveniently located and easy to find. It is clean and bright, well-maintained, and reasonably-priced. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful in every aspect. A full-featured hot buffet breakfast is offered, unlike many hotels these days. The rooms are clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. The beds seemed a bit high, which could be an issue for elderly guests, but overall, this hotel is in the top tier of Comfort Suites. The only negative was the slow wi-fi, which was disappointing. I measured the download speed at a paltry 2.3 Mbps, which made for much wait time using the internet. By comparison, my cell phone was about 10 times faster. The slow wi-fi was evident during all 4 days of our stay, so it was not a fluke. This is the only reason that I couldn't give this hotel 5 stars.

Stayed overnight for a flight out of Dallas and found it was a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Near the airport and Grapevine Mills, I was able to go shopping within minutes, dine at the nearby restaurants and still be close to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, too.
Great Staff nice overnight stay

After having arrived well after midnight I was put in a very nice room. I awoke after breakfast, but they still got me cereal and milk (which is what I wanted for breakfast). The staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional. I've stayed at many Choice properties and this is one I will come back to if in the area!
Stay away if you want to be valued and treated with respect

I made my reservation through a third party and contacted them to make a change to my arrival date. I received confirmation that the hotel had approved my date change. I arrive at 10pm on the day of check in and the manager was rude. She insisted I didn’t make a change with them. Then I got third party on the phone and they confirmed who they spoke with - she said they had no one by that name. She continue to argue with me and the third party agent, then finally admits she knows who the change was approved by. The agent said Sarah but it was Sierra. I spent at least 20 minutes late at night after a long flight to be treated like a liar, when it was the hotel that made the mistake. The manager (Carolyn) was unprofessional and confrontational. I had proof of change and she still wouldn’t accept it. At the end of the discussion she finally said she would take care of making change in the morning. The room had a terrible smell and something caused my allergies to act up. After the way I was treated, I didn’t feel comfortable asking to move to another room. I suffered through the night, found another place to stay and left in the morning. It cost me more, but I ended up staying where I was valued as a customer. I will never stay here again and will tell everyone I know to stay clear. I understand everyone is having challenges during Covid, but this was a smug, unprofessional manager that, in my opinion, isn’t qualified to be interacting with customers.
Check Beforehand To See If You Should Bring Your Own Shower Curtain

Have not received help from Comfort Suites or Expedia regarding a 2-night stay at Comfort Inn Suites in Grapevine,Texas. When we arrived the bathroom was in disarray with a 3 foot metal slant board in middle of the bathroom floor. I was told that it was to be used for shaving legs or sitting in tub. It was 2 feet off of the ground and 3 feet long & would have taken up entire bathtub. There were no linens in bathroom when we arrived in our room. We eventually got linens/towels only to discover there was not even a shower curtain on the curtain rod. I went to the front desk to ask for a shower curtain, I was told that they did not have any more shower curtains and when I asked how we could take a shower without a shower curtain, the front desk person told me to put extra towels down on the floor. No response from hotel or Expedia. Musty odor in room too. Seems like we can't get any help as we were told several times that we had booked through a 3rd party (I guess our mistake) - no one wants to take responsibility for the poor service. Hotel must give sub-par rooms to Expedia customers. Won't use Expedia or Comfort Suites again.
